Would the Justice League register with the governments of the world, and only act with their go-ahead?

Should the Justice League register?
>>

The Avengers live in a building on American soil and would be kinda fucked if Ross pulled up in with bunch of tanks to arrest them.

Justice League HQ is a satellite in space and at LEAST five members of the team are immune to conventional weaponry. They give no fucks.

Space is the 51st state of the Union
>>
Depends almost entirely on Superman. If he goes along, most of them go along (except Batman obviously). If he refuses, everyone refuses (except Captain Atom).

I think the world would be too scared to even try to impose their will on the Justice League.

Batman, Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern and Superman live in the US and are american citizens.
Batman has his base in the US.

DC civilians and governments choose to cooperate in a sensible manner. On the opposite end, Marvel is just retardation galore in this aspect.

>Gods kowtowing to insects

IIRC

this sort of BS is why Batman started up the Outsiders in the first place

Lex Luthor fights for humanity
>>

Cyborg would, Flash might too. Wonder woman has diplomatic immunity and gives no fucks. Aquaman is King of the ocean, he wouldn't bother. Hal would tell them to take it up with the Smurfs.Bat man would fight against it. Super, well depends on who's writing him.
>>
>>82614754
Aquaman would probably support it, given his seemingly always wanting to built and improve relations with us surfacers

>Marvel is just retardation galore in this aspect.
Marvel civilians resolve social issues with giant purple robots.

But at one point it was also canon that the Justice Society quit because of laws prohibiting secret-identity superheroes, so DC is no different.

Also I seem to recall Black Adam taunting the League with the fact that he was the government authority in whatever faux-african country he was ruler of, just like DOOM inexplicably retaining diplomatic immunity despite kidnapping the UN, declaring war on the whole planet, and a bunch of other shit.
>>
>>82613501

Neither Batman or Aquaman would ever go along with that.

Superman probably would, and Wondy, Hal and Barry would follow suit.

Nobody would fight though, Bruce and Arthur would just quit and that'd be the end of it.

As leaders (or future leaders) of their own nation, Wonder Woman and Aquaman could act as ambassadors from Earth to the Justice League. in addition to being founders ofc.

Besides, in the New 52 the JL was already working with the UN, with Steve Trevor as their liaison. They just weren't being told what to do.

>Would the Justice League register with the governments of the world, and only act with their go-ahead?
In new 52 they at least liaise with the Government through the Steve Rodgers / Wonder Woman connection.
>>

>Flash might too
Depends on the Flash. Barry would do it if pressed, but I don't think he likes revealing his identity as it puts those he loves in harm.

After what happened with Zoom and his kids, I very strongly doubt Wally would let his identity slip out again.
>>
>>82614041
Your entire post is written based on their civilian identities, no one implicitly knows where the heroes are from. Superman has a house in Antarctica and Flash could be from anywhere on earth with white people. The "US citizens" argument holds no water.

DC government has literally done more things wrong than Hitler

Steve Trevor, you dork.

>marveldrones in charge of knowing a goddamn thing about comics

The Justice League dealing with the UN has been a thing for fucking decades. Bialya is a big deal because they refuse to sign the treaty that gives the Justice League jurisdiction.

Please fuck off, /tv/.

Yeah, but Marvel did it first. Haha, dance off bro! LOL!

The Justice League(excluding Batman)would register and ignore the UN if the UN asked them to compromise their ideals.

Everyone knows Batman is in Gotham

That's exactly what happened

The Justice League is half-Superteam, half-professional society, wherein the profession is superheroes.

The major issue is, of course, that two of their big seven are royalty of sovereign nations, and the others are all associated with American cities, to say nothing of the Green Lanterns often being US servicemen.

That said, they do understand the importance being held accountable for their behavior and not just being a rampaging group of fascists, even if their motivation is seemingly benevolent. Superman isn't just going to fly into Pyongyang, rip off the roof of Ryongsong and rape Kim Jong Un. He's not Miracleman.

And that's where the professional society half comes in, interacting with local governments and the UN to add legitimacy to their vigilante activities. Of course, it's not like other governments don't have their own teams of supers or superpowered black ops teams. But obviously it's in many governments' best interests to not reveal that hand and just let the biggest guns on Earth solve world-threatening issues.

lol oops

DC plays it loose with geo-politics and I'm glad they do, hell I loved that the first half of BvS is the government trying to control shit it can't and then when it blows up their faces it's Lex that starts the god talk.
>>
>>82617835
The difference is that people don't want to interact nicely with muties or the avengers, or fuck, heroes in general.
Example: Jameson only has hate for Spiderman until he dies and is replaced by a murderous villain.
Marvel Universe people have shit for brains.

>>82617316
Ha, remember when Maxwell Lord was only a car salesman?
>>
>>82615613
That and, whether the rest of the world wants to acknowledge them are their own country or not, Aquaman's the king of fucking Atlantis. There's no way in hell he would kowtow to a registration law. The moment you step into the ocean you're in his house and you'll follow his rules.
