>CW Spider-Man had to have Iron Man make his costume
>ASM Spider-Man actually sounds like Spider-Man
>CW Spider-Man sounds like baby Anakin from Star Wars ep one

>CW Spider-Man easily becomes Iron Fascist's Lapdog
>ASM Spider-Man actually tried to talk to his villains (like Electro)
>CW Spider-Man almost murdered Falcon (a ordinary human), Bucky, and Captain America without trying to talk them out of fighting
>ASM Spider-Man actually wears a real costume throughout the movies

>ASM Spider-Man is actually funny
>CW Spider-Man just says stuff is cool and make bad pop-culture jokes (doesn't even know what AT-ATs are called)
>ASM Spidey inspires people
>CW Spidey helps Iron Fascist lock heroes up
Amazing Spider-Man really is the best cinematic Spider-Man. Why did Sony get rid of him again?
>>
>>82609253
I would have preferred they went with Miles over Peter for the 12th time. I mean, his story has been told so many times. Let someone else have a try! And maybe cast Donald Glover or Jaden Smith.
>>

Yeah, I was disappointed that Tony made the new costume for him and the webshooters with computers in them.
>>
>>82609253
>Why did Sony get rid of him again?
Because Andrew Garfield cancelled on a corporate dinner presentation with Sony's CEO and executives an hour beforehand, leaving a noticeable gap in said presentation and frustrating said CEO. They were going to try and attempt a soft reboot of the character anyway with their Sinister Six movie they had planned before the MCU agreements.

>ASM Spider-Man made his own costume (twice) and both times looked good
>CW Spider-Man had to have Iron Man make his costume

CW got it right. A broke ass kid from Brooklyn (no matter how smart) shouldn't be able to make an outfit that looks like it was made by tailors.

>ASM Spider-Man actually sounds like Spider-Man
>CW Spider-Man sounds like baby Anakin from Star Wars ep one

CW Spidey is a fifteen year old kid. He sounds perfect.

>ASM Peter actually looks like Peter Parker (especially Ramo's Spider-Man)
>CW Peter looks like Toby Maguire's retarded son

Holland looks fine. Garfield is a pencil headed prick.

>ASM Spider-Man doesn't bow down to authority figures because they tell him to
>CW Spider-Man easily becomes Iron Fascist's Lapdog

Because Stark is giving him opportunities and the resources to provide for his family and have a future.

>ASM Spider-Man actually tried to talk to his villains (like Electro)
>CW Spider-Man almost murdered Falcon (a ordinary human), Bucky, and Captain America without trying to talk them out of fighting

He was obviously engaging them in a non lethal manner. He was trying to subdue them. Not hurt them.

>ASM Spider-Man actually wears a real costume throughout the movies
>CW Spider-Man's cgi costume looks like something from Green Lantern or a ps1 game

The costume had to be CG to keep it under wraps so there wouldn't be set-photo leaks.

>ASM Spider-Man is actually funny
>CW Spider-Man just says stuff is cool and make bad pop-culture jokes (doesn't even know what AT-ATs are called)

Spidey's reactions and interactions were perfectly in character and consistently enjoyable.

>ASM Spidey inspires people
>CW Spidey helps Iron Fascist lock heroes up

He wasn't aware of the bigger picture.

>Amazing Spider-Man really is the best cinematic Spider-Man.

Enjoy rewatching the same 2 shitty movies over and over again, cause thats all you're gonna get.

Same relationship issues except instead of Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy it's Flash Thompson or whatever. No interesting new angles.

Okay, how about this. Spider-Man Netflix show starring miles. In the first episode, it's shown that this is some sort of alternate universe in the future, where Peter established himself as a famous Superhero way before 2016, but then disappeared one day. Then there's Miles, who recently got bitten by a magic spider or whatever. He knows what happened to Peter, but he's not talking about it, and he's hesitant to get into the hero game. Eventually, he decides that enough is enough and he reveals that he actually has Peter's Webshooters for some reason, as well as a costume he's had hidden away but refused to use up until now.

And a big part of the show is about what happened to Peter, what secrets Miles is hiding, while following Miles' adventures as both a superhero and a student. Also, if possible, have MCU Peter appear through some kind of dimensional portal or something and they team up for one or two episodes before Peter goes back to his own dimension. A

What you guys need to understand is that the "who's book is it" rule applies to movies as well. This wasn't a Spider-Man movie, so we're seeing the character through the lens of others.

It's easy to forget this, if you only watch the movies, but other heroes don't actually seem to like Spider-Man very much. His quips aren't funny or cool, they're annoying. His tendency to talk throughout a fight isn't endearing, it's aggravating.

I mean, he's a fifteen year old white nerd from New York who suddenly has more power than 99.9% of the human race. He's like a perfect storm of irritating.

Bullshit on all levels. Buying fabric isn't cheap, nor is proper costuming a skill easily acquired. And I've yet to see a Spider-man costume worn by a non-professional that wasn't some stupid looking body-glove with a Spider-man pattern printed on it.

I found it odd that with great power also apparently comes a great tailoring ability and the finances necessary to buy reams of fabric. CW Spidey having his "been doing this 6 months" suit was appropriate for a kid who has to go dumpster diving for parts. That said, the PC on his desk was way too clean.

Also, you're implying that the Ultimate Spidey canon was any better than 616 canon, when it reality 616 was vastly superior, /especially/ the Lee/Ditko run. Not to mention keeping Spider-Man would mean you could get a Scarlet Spider spin off, Prowler spin off, Venom spin off, Carnage spin off, Superior Foes spin off, ect. ect. Hell, they could even throw in Miles Morales if they do a Spider-Verse movie to shut you faggots up. But 9/10 it'll fail, he's too bland, over powered, and had barely been around for four years.
>>
>>82613408
now while I liked her as Gwen why the fuck didn't they just cast her as MJ?
>>
>>82609358
Miles' entire character is "I am not Peter Parker." What makes a good legacy character is one who defines themselves separately from their predecessor. Wally West worked for so long because he had his own world, his own story, and his own separate personality developed over time. Marvel keeps making legacy characters that are literally "It's *blank*, but black/female/Asian/Hispanic/gay!" Hell, DC is starting it too.
>>
>>82613458
> They had slight financial worries after Ben died in the comics, it was short lived.

Thor's a mary sue for other reasons. However, she actually has to hit people with her hammer for her to win. Or use her lightning god(dess) powers. In other words, she has to put up a fight. Miles legit just has to touch them or the ground they're standing on. And I also your logic here.

Obvious Miles falseflag at the top but there is nothing wrong with Miles as a character, he has just been written poorly like how Silk was written poorly until she got her own title. Miles was fine in his own universe for quite awhile.

The only reason Miles wouldn't work in the MCU is because a large part of his personality is living up to the previous Spider-Man
>>
>>82617203
I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's as much as a phase as 90's Marvel with power armors. Once fans finally see how tiring and overused it is they'll stop. Miles will be the equivalent of Scarlet Spider. Jane Foster will either die of cancer or become the equivalent of Beta Ray Bill. And Sam will become Falcon again (sadly though, since he's the only legacy character Marvel put out I found myself enjoying). Also Khan will be the perma Ms. Marvel since Carol will be known as Captain Marvel.
>>
>>82617901
How does Miles work now he's living in 616 where nobody will compare him to dead Peter Parker?
>>
>>82617969

>>
>>82617974

>>
>>82618029
I hope not. Kamala is better than Carol ever was. That being said, I could see it happening.

>>82617974

616 Miles is all about surpassing Peter more or less. Apparently he got bit (we haven't seen how since it's a new continuity) and he got permission to be another Spider-Man from Peter since he asked nicely. People start referring to him as the "black Spider-Man" when his costume gets torn in a fight and it upsets him since the reason he became Spider-Man had nothing to do with the color of his skin. It's why Peter's book is called "Amazing Spider-Man" and his is just "Spider-Man".
>>
>>82618229
Right, but he doesn't have to live up to the other Spider-Man because that guy is still around doing his thing.
>>
>>82618229
And it ended with Miles gushing because 616 Peter gave him his blessing to be the new Spider-Man because he never really met the first one.

Well, to be fair, there is no one in the MCU who'd ever even consider building a personalized dune buggy for themselves, much less anyone else.

Tony Stark would find the very idea appalling.

Spider-Man didn't even want it in the comic, that's why it was funny. The reason he had it was because he needed the money and crashed it immediately. If they did it in the MCU it would be for a gag fight. Main bad is wrecking shit, the Duke Boys honking is heard. He turns around to see the dune straight for him. He braces for impact. It misses and it's a wall.
