She (Julia Vickerman) is not only a major storyboarder for the show but one of the show's heads. Not only that, but the way the show works, writing IS storyboarding.
Well, it's not very funny. It's animation is super dated-looking. There isn't much time to get to know the characters. I don't know what Twelve's friend's "thing" is supposed to be. He's like a nerd but he's also cool? It kind of evens out and makes him super bland. Everything is "SO AWESOME!!" and "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!" so there isn't really any way to know stakes or ground anything.

I liked the twelve pilot. It could use some work but for a solo act it was pretty decent. If she's on the nuPPG staff, it means there's at least one semi-competent person on staff, and if against all common sense nuPPG succeeds, it might mean a second look at Twelve.

i disagree entirely, teen titans go is hit or miss but the episodes where it hits the mark it hits hard. I will never understand why Breadwinners gets so much hate, there's singing in almost every episode which on the whole are well done and outside of that I like the way the action is usually set to music.

i remember the creator of jammers once came on a pizza party podcast and talked about the process of making a pilot. It took a couple months and she had to do other jobs within those months
making a whole series takes a long time, so i'm assuming like with the creator of jammers, Julia Vickerman just needs a job while her series is being worked onif it even is, was there any news on it currently

Literally 99% of their fanbase doesn't understand the appea and only listen to them because they get radio play after drastically changing their sound. The general inspiration for the show seems to be more 80s culture, like regular show, which could be different (haven't seen the full extent because it is literally one pilot) but based off what was given, a lot of it seems regular show-esque. Also I feel I don't need to explain the Adventure Time similarities. The things they share aren't even a bad thing really, it's just dumb to deny that a Cartoon Network show (or any cartoon in a Post-AT world) has no resemblance to Adventure Time. The imagination world especially is like Ooo in a lot of ways and Butt-witch could honestly be an AT character if tweaked slightly. In general, I was impressed with 12, but I don't really think it would be that good as a full show. But hey, this is coming from someone who post-ironically liked Jammers over any other pilots so take me with a grain of salt
