I stopped reading DC at the start of the new 52 and missed most of it
What was it like?

You know that feeling while cleaning your ear with cotton swab when you dig a little to far and hit your eardrum? Yeah, it's something like this.
Simply epic and for the most part, better incarnations of the heroes

Sounds like shit that's enjoyable in a bad way
I liked Animal Man, Swamp Thing, WW, Aquaman. Read Batman and Justice League cos why not.
There was tonnes of fucking dog shit though. Static Shock, Hawkman, Frankenstein, JL 3000, Convergence, Future's End, Klarion are just a fragment of shit i wish i never read.
Some very quality runs, some eh. The whole aspect of trying to create a united universe failed in my eyes. Buy, it wasn't nearly as terrible as people make it out to be.

It was like if the owners of the Louvre took the Mona Lisa out of its case, violently kicked the art out of the frame, replaced it with a brightly lit 3D hologram of a modern hot woman with a large toothy grin that you could only see if you buy proper viewing glasses, put flashing Christmas lights on the frame, and doubled their admission prices.

Frankenstein was good for about 9 issues
A handful of the books were good but they were all possible without a reboot occurring.
It was 90% garbage.

Dodged a bullet there.
There were like two Nu52 related things that were pretty decent and the rest ranged from "bleh" to "o lord deliver us from this evil".
