I keep forgetting how terrible Vriska is. For years I had acknowledged how Vriska was able to get away with tons of stupid shit and solve problems easily, but I always just assumed that the end of the story would have her receiving some sort of comeuppance which would be expected and bring her to a decent-to-good character, so I just filed her under "decent-to-good" to begin with. But then that didn't happen at all, meaning she's worse than even fucking Kanaya. And yet I can't get myself to actually hate her as much as I do Kanaya for whatever reason. I think the nature of the character, the sheer length of Homestuck, and the fanbase has just numbed me to her. I can't help but feel apathetic about Vriska since she was made with the intent of being provocative and she's been provocative for the past 6 years.

the ending of homestuck is one of those life-alteringly bad pieces of media that only comes once in a generation. that feeling of dread that came over me as i looked at the timer and saw the tadpole animation going on for 2 fucking minutes is probably comparable to life-long star wars fans who saw the phantom menace on launch and waited for it to get "good" and slowly had to come to terms with the fact that it never did. homestuck was my favorite work of anything for years and the fact that so much of it was rendered meaningless by its nonsensical phoned-in-but-i-had-someone-put-effort-into-the-production-so-you-can't-call-me-lazy ending is so painful that i can't even begin to address it a month out from the initial shock.

I think the saddest thing about Homestuck is that it drove Hussie off the internet. The biggest reason he started MSPA was because he liked interacting with his fans, he used to be one of the most vocal and sociable webcomic author, but eventually there were too many people with too many opinions and it basically became unsustainable. homestuck is a whole is 100% ruined due to its ending, the damage is irreversible, everything was riding on the ending and it flopped

I've got an idea which I think would be neat to have realized
a SBURB game with the same mechanics of Ingress! Think about it: a virtual/augmented reality where you build up like in The Sims and strife with virtual Imps: you and your partners could associate your accounts to the same session and your "server" could build things in your surroundings, and you could do the same to your "client", and so on.
