i agree. there's no way anyone would notice a gaping voice created in the sky with aliens pouring out and demolishing the city. hell, i bet the noise of it would travel maybe 3-4 blocks, tops. and it takes a long time for news to get out in NYC. it takes hours to restart presses. does NYC even have an afternoon paper any more?
