This episode is like a PR move. It's sole intent is to rekindle interest for Flame Princess. I would have rather had them stick to their guns on the episodes, rather than backpedaling and trying to redeem themselves to the layman 'fans' who complain about her arc being the reason they stopped watching. It's like they're actually listening to fans, which is the tipping point where death of the author actually starts to kick in and a show sinks into a parody of it's former self.
I don't care any more, the amount of shit I'd have to wade through to get to a semi fix of everything back to normal isn't worth it. One of the problems with the last season was how it set up huge plot points and quickly resolved or forgot about them without giving the characters time to really emotionally process the changes.
