Thoughts on Final Crisis?
Best of the Crises?
Rushed mess?

I didn't like it.

It was a clusterfuck. Too much Morrison for an event. There shouldn't be a recommended reading for something like that.

There isn't faggot. Maybe you read Seven Soldiers and that's it. And just need to have some grasp on big DC events, specifically CoIE.
I enjoy it but I can fully understand why people didn't.
I think if I'd been reading it as it came out I'd hate it but reading at as one book which wasn't fucking with everything else I was reading at the time.
I liked it. It does feel a bit rushed, but what worked worked beautifully.

Not to mention you have to read Superman Beyond to get the final bit. Not sure if a tie-in was ever required reading without having it stated.
And Seven Soldiers is a hefty read with all the minis and bookend issues.

Well yeah tie ins are required. Morrison can't tell a big epi in linear order with one focus, narrative structure can be considered a mess.
As for SS, I only read Mister Miracle and I got the status quo of new gods at the time.

Infinite crisis got the best villians.
Best plot lines
Every super hero got the chance to flex their muscles.
Only problem is the goatee spectre

>tie ins are required
99% of the time they are not. Some of the time they are forgotten or conflict with the main comic.

Better than Darkseid War and most of the events that came after it.
Second Best. COIE is less intellectually ambitious, but strangely more satisfying as a whole.
In terms of the artwork due to creative disputes? Yes. Writing was pretty solid.
Honestly the whole "required reading" angle for FC is limited. Seven Soldiers helps clarify some things, and Death Of The New Gods by Starlin gives a gist (albeit Morrison's take on the tale is different) of why the New Gods are out of commission. Beyond that, everything to read FC is in the trade itself. Maybe Rogues' Revenge and Revelations, but while decent reads, they're not even necessary.

>Best of the Crises?
>Rushed mess?
Both.

3 tie ins Morrison wrote can literally be called Final Crisis. You won't get the story without it.

Maybe he should have stuck those in the main book instead of German supergirl or some shitty nips
