Only that isn't what he was trying to do, He could have killed cap if he wanted. Why did he restrain him with those cuffs if he wanted to kill him?
After friday scanned his attack patterns and Tony laid the beat down on him and his shield out of reach, Iron man could have killed him with a repulsor blast but he didn't because that wasn't his goal.
Even when cap had him pinned he could have unibeamed him through the chest like he did with bucky. Again he didn't want to kill cap.

Black widow would find out, team up with Sharon carter and break the rest of the tea out of the raft. One of them would try to kill Tony and if not that, when the hulk would get back to earth he'd go onto a rage and kill Tony. Tony wouldn't even defend himself. The avengers would he too far gone by then. They'd become villans and go on a massacre. Zemo would at first be really happy but then get kinda horrified. The un then decides to let zemo out and tell him to build a team strong enough to stop the avengers.
