How do you guys think she'll be introduced?
Personally, I think they'll have her working on a Stark/NASA space station that was set up to monitor extraplanar threats. GotG v2, Thor, and Strange will have all happened by then, so being wary of space threats doesn't seem far-fetched.
On this station is also Mar-Vell, who is secretly using the station to track the movements of Thanos since there are two stones on Earth. The station is assaulted by Thanos who has the either soul or reality stone. When he attempts to use it to kill everyone on the station, MarVell sacrifices himself to save everyone. Carol gets hit with the same energy, which fuses their DNA like in the comics. Later, she adopts the Captain Marvel when she learns of his true nature and is probably promoted to captain of the station.
I think this would be a good compromise to her comic origins.
If we're lucky they won't give her an origin and just have her flying around with powers during Infinity War.
