Almost everyone does. Even if he jobbed against Vision. Then again Hawkeye is more of a sniper/strategist than a powerhouse. I'm even surprised he had EMP arrows with him.

I am just going to repost what I understood from what the writers explained:

>The reason they didn't kill anyone, and in particular not killing Steve Rogers, is because they want the team broken and disorganised when Thanos show up. Death of a team member would have forced the team to rally and reconcile, and that would not be the desired end of this film.

>Further, the writers think death at this point in the story is actually LESS painful than the alternative. They want the team members to fight, and then to live with the fact that they are no longer friends. Not having deaths is one of the reason why the team is currently in taters, as death is too great a unifier.
>>
>>82550082
I was hoping one of the Avengers would die. I think it's too early for Bucky to be the next Cap. But it needs to happen. I'd be happy if they gave him his own movie. Cap and Black Widow could should up in it too.
>>
How does Spidey stack up strength wise with the rest of the MCU? Just below Thor?
>>
>>82550209
>Death of a team member would have forced the team to rally and reconcile

Good point, didn't think of that.
>>
>>82550256
>How does Spidey stack up strength wise with the rest of the MCU? Just below Thor?

Probably above Cap and below Thor. Seeing that he carried that thing in the airport when Cap broke it with his shield. He's pretty strong for a teen kid.
>>
>>82550231
I agree, I'm glad Cap didn't die for the reasons the creators stated about it being too easy of a unifying fix, and because I want Bucky to have more recovery time before he has that responsibility of taking over thrown on him.

God, Bucky's life really sucks. Iron Manlet almost murders him, but it's okay because T'Challa is a bro and awesome doctors in Wakanda fix his brain and give him a new arm, he's good to go with his new life, and then Steve gets killed by a crazy purple alien dude collecting jewelry. If I were Bucky, I'd nope back into the ice.

BuckyCap and Falcon movie will be based, though. I love Falcon flying around and throwing Bucky at things.

This was done by BvS. Looked at how "meaningless" the death felt. Yeah sure people now love Superman in their world but didn't some people doubt and hate him a few days BEFORE his death?

WHERE THE FUCK IS HE
>>
>>82550412
>Why did they kill the coolest character off 5 minutes into the movie
The writers mentioned why.

After they agreed to not kill Cap in this film, they had to decide what to do with Crossbones. They decided that he doesn't have enough of a future prospect, and that it would be a great misdirection for comic readers that they would assume Crossbone would get away.

And the other point is that they NEED the incident with the bomb to have no living villiain surviving. Because had he lived then the bombing would be blamed on HIM and not the Avengers. Civilians are petty and would blame the nearest living person they felt was responsible. By having Crossbones kill himself, it is the unfortunately realistic way to cause the angry public to get mad at their rescuers instead.

The Crossbones exploding scene was fucking retarded.

So, either she lets him explode in the crowd, killing people and Steve, or tries to move him somewhere else, and kills people in a building instead.

Or doesn't stop him, and the biological weapon would go off.

>>82550709
They needed to clarify that Tony looked for him to pacify/wrap up his allies in a non-violent way to bring them in. They didn't. It's implied, though, since Stark says "What we discussed, keep your distance and web them up."

So it was clear he picked Spider-Man to round them up.

The point is that they have been going all over causing insane destruction in the ways they stop the crimes from occurring, and a lot of criminal activity is because of them in the first place, like Ultron.

Sure, it's awesome to send Hulk smashing in a city full of pedestrians during an alien invasion, but the aftermath is still Hulk smashed and probably killed people just like the aliens.

>>
>>82550883
No
>>
>>82550883
>Could Peter lift the hammer?
Since you brought it up, the writers of Civil War bring up the possibility that Vision might have lost his "worthiness" at some point after AoU. The idea being he was pure in the beginning because he was a newborn, but now that he is starting to learn and form ideas he just might be making mistakes now.
>>
>>82550883

This enchantment surrounding Mjölnir prevents it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy. Thus far, this includes Thor, the Red Norvell, Buri, Bor Odin, Beta Ray Bill, and Captain America. To anyone else, Mjölnir cannot be lifted from the ground. nor wrested from Thor’s grip. Those who are deemed worthy are able to wield Thor's powers. Captain America said "I've never wielded such limitless power before!" "It's almost intoxicating!" As the true master of Mjölnir, Thor can also will unto others the ability to wield the mystical hammer, bypassing the worthiness enchantment, and also empower them with his own godly abilities. As long as he is alive, no one but himself is able to wield the hammer.
>>
>>82550950

>>
>>82549452
Hey, at least it's not Detroit
>>
>>82550966
>So Thor's worthiness requires he never makes mistakes?
The idea is that Vision's worthiness wasn't earned but was what he was born with. And as the writers noted, Thor loses his own worthiness all the damn time. So if Thor can lose his own worthiness if he wasn't careful, so could Vision. And Vision really lacks the experience to make the right choices.
>>
>>82550999
I think the point he's trying to make is you have to be willing to do what has to be done even if it conflicts with your morals.
>>
>>82550968
>>82550837

>>82551024
Still does not make sense. Based on the Beta Ray Bill, to be worthy someone must be a champion of nobility, strength, courage and wisdom according to Asgard standards.

Spiderman can not lift it because of his humility, and mental weakness, because the hammer requires also a great mental strength, which does not mean doing extreme things or kill people.

in fact, it still makes no sense given that Tunderbraker was nothing special

And this is conjecture because they didn't outright say this. But combining the fact that they had previously made Antman Team Ironman, and then was forced to switch, it might explain why they said they needed another hero on Tony's side at the airport. (switching Antman means suddenly Cap has two more heroes than Tony does.)

This person, as explained in the podcast, was Spiderman, but then they thought they lost him so they gave Black-panther a combat role. Then they end up keeping both of them.

And yet Bucky is not to blame for any of those things happening.

Yes, Cap was wrong not to tell Tony ahead of time. No, Bucky does not deserve to be murdered because of shit that he had no control over.

You really think Tony would have been proud of himself after he cooled off and realized he just killed Steve's best friend, who is a torture victim and brainwashed POW? And he let the real villain just get away? He'd be no better than Zemo and he'd know it, it'd be a hole that Tony would never be able to climb himself out of, and Steve would never forgive him.

I feel bad for Tony, but he had to be stopped.

Anyone else think the best fight scene in the movie was cap and bucky vs the special forces right near the beginning? Seeing bucky use his metal arm to block bullets was awesome, and that pause when they were about to breach the door and bucky just pounds through the wall was so good.
>>
I was so fucking hyped seeing Spider-Man and I was ready for him to take the limelight, and they immediately switched back to the serious tone of Iron Man and Captain America.

It made me realize that even with Spider-Man there, these two incredibly grounded serious characters could make it all work, and Spider-Man worked even better because of that.
>>
>>82551533
If they did the movie didn't do a good job of implying it.

>>82551486
Okay then, fair enough. I can see why he did it because he's emotionally unstable and volatile and easily triggered, and Zemo knew this. That's Stark for ya. Never trust a Stark.

It seemed like they were trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Why would you want Cap to die when he was going to be in Infinity War? They refuse to kill him when no one was going to believe them.

More importantly, if he died then there would have to be a funeral. And that means all the Avengers would have to be best friends again and end up working together. The whole POINT of not killing anyone is to STOP the team getting back together.

Against Tony. which remains a bit alone at the end. I am a bit sorry for him because the abandonment of the group was his nightmare and one of the reasons why he attemp to get them to sign. Everything ends badly and while Steve is left with the group, Tony has virtually no one.

Suffering.
>>
>>82551582

That's not even the issue. It didn't amount to anything because the entire conflict was brushed under the carpet in the last 5 minutes of the movie. Cap writes an apology letter, Tony is happy his friends get broken out of jail, and everything is hunky-dory.
>>
>>82551879
Wanda was effectively on house arrest despite the Accords being ostensibly done to protect them.

No, because Tony said Wanda has no rights because she isn't an American. Steve is offended at that.

Further, Tony only signed because he thinks he can weasel out of it later. Steve refuse to sign because he only sign his name on things he intend to follow.
>>

Err... were you half asleep when you watched it? Team Cap is now wanted criminals and Tony is under Ross' direct control. Exactly how is that normal?
>>
>>82549395
So Bucky was supposed to make Tony's parents death look like an accident but he shoots the window or something and that makes the car go off the road and hit a lamp post but both of Tony's parents are alive and he had to punch them to kill them. So why did the car go off the road?
>>

They're also filled with fluid and carbs making them ideal to regain energy.
>>
>>82551908
True, but he has Rhodey who believes in him, and presumably vision too. And cap seemed to come around at the end, judging by his letter, there was grudging respect and an admission that he went about it wrong. I think it sets up for some great growth and potential for dramatic reconciliation and sacrifices in the IW movies.
>>
>>82550670

>>

but vision doesn't drink coffee!

>>
>>82550895
He really has lost everyone except Rhodes at this point. I thought he'd be more fucked up after losing Jarvis than he was, but you can still kind of see it in AoU even if none of the other characters notice (par for the course), and of course at that point he still had Rhodey and Pepper. He seemed to be growing close to Bruce and then Bruce fucked off.

If they'd killed off Rhodes he'd have had even less than he had in that cave in Afghanistan. And everyone would probably still assume he was fine, because he's got all that money and all those quick jokes.
