The comic was not that great, the movie really fixed up the idea a lot.

It's very different. Baymax is created as Hiro's bodyguard and can change his appearance using holograms. Hiro doesn't get power armor in the comics I've read. Honey's bag is basically a bag of holding and contains loads of gadgets. Wasabi is much older than the others and Fred is a reincarnated Kaiju not a guy in a suit (he can manifest the Kaiju's strength). They're Japan's super team in Marvel and mostly show up in other people's books. Other Japanese characters like Silver Samurai and Sunfire have been members of the team as well.
