So, Josh Boone, who Fox has on tap to helm a New Mutants movie in the X-Men franchise, posted this picture to his Instagram account today, leading to speculation that it depicts the makeup of the team in his movie. The picture itself isn't at all new - Phil Noto posted it to his tumblr five years ago, but it's one of the first real signs of activity for the project.

They already cast Arya from game of thrones as rahne and they cast magik too. Imo fuck karma her powers are pretty fucking shit for story telling because you have to find an excuse not to use her. If 10 is Original Excalibur and X-Women and 1 is New Excalibur and Uncanny X-Men before John Bryne left it's about a 7 on Claremont weird-shit-o-meter, be warned his disciple Louise Simonson takes over after him and the claremontness doesn't stop until Rob Liefield shows up for the last 20 issues.
New Mutants volume 4 is really good, watching most of the cast grow over the course of X-Force is also really fun depending if you can stomach 90's art.

New Mutants v2 (Dani mentors new kids, with other members appearing)
New Mutants v3 (initial run is fantastic, second one is still pretty good)
That's fairly complete for the team. Individual members (particularly Magik) made some good appearances over the years.
