This reminds me of Aaron's Punisher except PG-13 (or light R), i.e. you can tell it was written by someone who read a single issue of Punisher MAX and thought "PUNISHER = EDGE, SO I'LL JUST MAKING EVERYTHING EDGY". It's such an artificial copy of what Marvel THINKS people liked about Ennis' Punisher with none of the actual quality.

Wow, this fucking blows. The dialogue is clunky and everyone is an asshole. Too much trying to ape Ennis too (the part about the M1911 esp)
The script must be fairly shitty too, the action suffers from being overly elaborate and poorly paced.
Dillon's art is tolerable and surprisingly better than usual, but still suffers from being static and uninspired. The colourist does a nice job though, some of the best work I've seen on Dillon's stuff.

I just looked over Edmonson's #1 and it's a completely different book. Frank is less of a caricature of himself and already displays a relationship with another, there's a good sense of humour, it's well researched and all-round looks better art-wise. The violence is much more gratifying too
