>>82415809
I'm not sure what to think.
Captcha, what the fuck.
>>82415825
And that was all they had.
Huh.
Is this before or after the end of the world?
>Hipster Shaggy and weirdly effeminate Fred
I don't like it.
Okay...
I'm actually kind of digging the idea of making Shaggy a hipster instead of a stoner.
>>82418007
EAT THE BULLET
EAT THE FUCKING BULLET
>>82418024
What? He's supposed to be the dumb everyday Joe. I see much more hipsters than stoners nowadays
>>82415764
Shaggy has ten miles of chin on this cover.
>>82415764
Is this the shittiest Jim Lee art ever? I don't thinks he's ever drawn this bad before but holy crap this makes my eyes bleed.
>>82418024
Hipsters tend to be stoners mate, all your NOT MUH won't change that Giffen/Dematteis will make this work pretty well.
>>82415764
Looks good, but of course people will bitch and whine how DC ruined Scooby Doo.
>>82418313
>people will bitch and whine how DC ruined Scooby Doo.
You mean with people with common sense?
>>82415809
Love this panel. Here's hoping the rest of the books draw an audience. It's different but at least the humor is there.
>these facial expressions
>dat "Shaggy"
I can't
>>82418222
what?
The cover is the best part of this.
If you're talking about the interiors, that's all Howard "I have a new drawing style" Porter.
>>82418313
I don't dig the mustache.
>>82418296
Shaggy's a lazy stoner. I can't see him going out of his way to have a fashionable haircut and spend the time maintaining his mustache and beard. He's also a huge coward so he probably would cringe at the thought of getting a tattoo. That'd be like Velma dressing in designer clothing.
>>82415764
What a pile of shit. Shaggy turned into a fucking hipster? Weapons? Drones?
>>82415764
This is worse the 90s "radical" remakes.
>>82415809
why would shaggy tell scooby about his nana? isn't scooby his dog?
>>82418558
Jaysus, Shag has more chin than the Joker.
>>82415764
I'm actually suprised we didn't have any hipster characters before this.
>>82418360
>you mean people who don't read any comics, including the classic Scooby Doo comic that has been running for years and will run concurrently with this one
>the people who have no idea who Giffen and Dematteis are
FTFY
>>82418440
>Literally acts exactly the same
>hurr he's ruined because he looks different
Pinnacle of idocy
>>82418360
Go read the other two Scooby Doo books they have then
>>82418485
So you just looked at the cover then? because on the interiors he's got messy hair and a slightly cleaned beard/stache
Tats I agree on but this is also a superscience world so they may have been painless
>>82418781
I will, thanks anon
This look pretty good, at least it's not a mess and I hope it will be released in my country... ...I hope.
>>82418918
You're welcome
>>82418918
The teamup book is pretty fun
>>82419044
It sure does
>my ivy waifu on the cover
Already more invested than this apocalypse nonsense.
>>82418621
Apparently not. Scoob is an experiment and it's stated they're not supposed to be out of Velma's facility.
>>82415809
Ollie?
>>82419137
The all-ages Scooby books they publish could use a sales boost, as all the people screaming about "ruined childhoods" wrt Apocalypse were also "No, I don't buy the all-ages book they put out".
Wait, there was one guy who did. Good on him.
>>82419693
Oh, right, of course Velma's facility..
This is like the comic variation of Ghostbusters reboot in my eyes. I know I can still enjoy the classic stuff, but, this completely changes things so drastically why bother calling it the source material?
I know, multiverse stuff can explain but still...it just seems like they're trying to make scooby doo "hip" with the edgy kids or something.
>>82419837
Comics are a huge investment if you read more than 5 titles just for them to end up in a box never to be touched again
>>82419847
I don't know I'm glad they're experimenting with these books. But I don't really hold any nostalgia for the classic Hanna-Barbara cartoons.
>>82419879
Just buy the ones that need the sales and download the rest.
>>82420178
You mean 99% of comics?
>>82420159
I don't hold much nostalgia, but Scooby Doo is just way too known and iconic to be accepted in this drastic change.
>>82420280
>You mean 99% of comics?
Just the ones you're most interested in
>>82415878
So far it looks good or at least solid, I can't really hate it.
>Fred and Daphne have their jobs from Zombie Island
I sorta liked that little touch.
Don't see any point for the emoticons, though. It might make sense if they wanted to limit the numer of talking dogs in the series, and Scooby could only communicate that way. But then they show Shaggy can understand him perfectly fine without them.
>>82419847
There's experimenting with the source material, and then there's blatantly disregarding it for nonsensical reasons. Mystery Inc was an experiment, a way to change things up while still holding on to what makes it good. The Scooby-Doo movie and Zombie Island are other good examples. From the preview alone it's clear that it's just Scooby-Doo in name alone. It might not be a bad thing, all we can do is wait for the full issue, but already there's some pretty dumb decisions at work that's not making me optimistic, like >>82415825.
