Vargas' Rot and Ruin doesn't look that good, but wikipedia tells me Easton was nominated for an Eisner for best one-shot/single issue.

Marvel and DC are licensed comics. They are literally nothing more than movie tie-in merchandise. Deal with it.
IDW publishes (or has published) TMNT, G.I. Joe, Disney reprints, Popeye, Garfield, Little Nemo, Micronauts, and (soon to be) ROM. ALL of which started as comics (only Disney characters that didn't originate in the comics are Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Pete, the rest of their supporting casts are from the comics).
IDW is LESS reliant on bringing in fans of other mediums than Marvel or DC are. Like half their lineup or more is about REVIVING OLD COMICS FOR THE ORIGINAL FANS. How many Marvel/DC books are currently made for the people that read comics before the /tv/ adaptations?The answer is NONE, you faggots.
