Tom does great in both roles, for what we have seen of him, and he'll only grow from now on, so no, the future seems to promising to me, not gonna miss these guys, but I'd love to see them get cameos on the MCU for shits and giggles.

I felt bad for Garfield after Sony dropped all of it. Dude seemed to be really happy about playing Spiderman and for all of ASM's problems, his performance was one of the only redeeming features. He did what he could with Sony's mess.

I miss some stuff but I'll withhold the real judgement until I see Homecoming. I also don't think we've had the perfect costume yet. Most of them have hade good stuff though I would have to rank the asm 1 costume last of the four we've had. And yeah I'm counting the Raimi movies as one costume even thought there are some minor tweaks. I could go on a long Spider-Man costume rant but I don't want to bore people.

Garfield was a fucking joke. I don't know how they got away with writing peter parker as a skater douche primadonna but fanfuckingtastic decision making. I kept waiting for him to find the actual peter parker punch him and take his lunch money.
As for being a better spiderman I didn't like his spiderman as much either. Raimiman was corny and awkward but McGuire made it kind of cohesive. He was a huge dork in and out of costume, gave the character some continuity. Garfield seemed like he was trying to flip a switch from trying too hard to be "different" to being a complete asshole.
