Welp, as of Ratchet & Clank's release, Zootopia is now out of my local theatre. I had a great 4 viewings. Got an artbook ordered, blu ray preordered, and I even bought the soundtrack. If Japan's track record with the Box office holds, we could be looking at, absolute best case scenario, around 175 mil, Assuming they don't just fucking drop it completely, which seems unlikely. Japan has a very nasty habit of holding VERY weak opening weekends. Even Frozen, with its 250 mil in Japan alone, only opened with a measly 8 million. Zootopia got 4 mil, and that's taking into account that Detective Conan fucked us up. So, tldr, if everything goes fucking perfect, we can expect a grand total of around $1,100,000,000; putting us just shy of Minions, and well above Toy Story 3. This might be a little optimistic however.
