Post your favorite animated movie
Not counting anime.
>The Land Before Time
>Atlantis The Lost Empire
>The Iron Giant
>The Secret of Nimh
>Titan AE
One of my favorite films of all time, period.

I wish I could get into it in the same way, anon. The animation is top notch and the leading lady is made for sexual. But whole thing is brought down by the premise.
>>82403609
What part of the premise? The forced war against brothers or the fact that it's a Bible story? Because it's one of my all time favorites too even though I'm Atheist
>>82402692
Akira
>>82403708
The fact that it's a Bible story and the fact that there is no such thing as a good story by modern standards that involves God or divine intervention. Also you aren't supposed to capitalize atheist nor theist.

>Because it's one of my all time favorites too even though I'm Atheist
Same here. Came from a Jewish background, so I'm familiar with Passover and the story of Exodus, and this is probably my favorite rendition of it. I don't believe in religious stories, but damn, there are some good stories there.

same, same andfucking same
Of all the Disney films, my mind keeps coming back to this one. I need a webm of the "Sanctuary!" scene.
I know /co/ doesn't like it a lot, but it's my favorite movie of all time. I even wrote an 11 thousand word essay on how much I adore it.
>>82403956
You probably simply watched it during a formative time in your life.
>>82403923
Frollo's still the best Disney villain of all time.
The only thing bringing it down is the gargoyles.
Either this or Aladdin.
>>82404008
An edit with the Gargoyles out would be perfect.
>>82403812
And I'm Not supposed to start a Sentence with and, what Now grammar Nazi?
I disagree with that statement though, the main focus of the story was not God or his miracles, but the conflict between the brothers, and God can be put to good use in a story so long as he (I know I'm supposed to capitalize that he, come at me) doesn't fix the main conflict of the story. The main conflict was the relationship between the brothers, while the mission from God was a catalyst to cause said tension.

>And I'm Not supposed to start a Sentence with and, what Now grammar Nazi?
It's a simple rule. No need to get butthurt. Atheist isn't a proper noun, nor is theist. You should really know this if you describe yourself as an atheist.
Good for you if you are able to overlook the purely Abrahamic messages and see the secular story underlying it. I unfortunately cannot.
>>82404430
Ohoho, so you're allowed to capitalize atheist but us poor plebs aren't.really hope I don't have to explain that this was a joke.
>>82404472
>spoiler
Not them, but you had me going for a second.
Solid joke.
>>82403812
What do you mean by this?
How is a story brought down by God or divine intervention?
I don't care for the Venellope hate. This movie has everything for me.
>>82404581
Same way Battle Star Galactica was brought down by "SHE WAS AN ANGEL THE WHOLE TIME ALSO THE HUMANS EVOLVED TWICE BECAUSE MAGIC!". There is a reason deus ex machina is seen as bad writing.
>>82404430
I was joking, Anon, no butt hurt, and me being atheist isn't really a big part of my identity, it's just something I am, so I don't care too much about the grammar of it.

>and me being atheist isn't really a big part of my identity, it's just something I am,
As it should be, friend-anon. :)
>I don't care too much about the grammar of it.
FUCK YOU!
I'm sorry
>>82403708
I'm an Atheist as well and I love the animation and the overall effort.
But I feel The Ten Commandments is still the superior adaption and I was sort of disappointed back in the day that it failed to equal or surpass it.I wish we'd get film or cartoon adaptions of gnostic legends and/or PKD stuff, so much more interesting than the vanilla bible. Then again, I liked Noah
Criminally underrated, one of my faves for sure.

Sorry for what? Our daddy taught us not to be ashamed of our dicks, given they're such good size and all
>>82404937
Mary and Max is awesome.
>>82402692
Same.
Aside from a handful Disney movies, Prince of Egypt, Iron Giant, and The Road to El Dorado are strong candidates. But I can't deny this is probably my favorite movie of all time.
Best movie ever. Was my childhood and it was amazing. Better than quality movies these days like Batman V Superman.
>>82403923
Game of Thrones isn't an animated movie anon
>>82407311
Great taste confirmed.
>>82402692
The Secret of Nimh is my first choice that comes to mind.
>>82402692
Nightmare Before Christmas has been my favorite movie since I was a kid; it's the reason I like anything stop-motion, especially Laika. I rewatch it every year on Halloween; in theaters if they're screening it.
Iron Giant would be my second choice.
>>82407311
>>82404591
This. I dunno why people bitch about it, other than the fact that the Disnerds paid millions for five seconds of Sonic doing some cheap plot exposition
>>82404717
Don't be sorry, this shit is based
>>82403812
Autism speaks.
>>82402692
Iron Giant
Batman Mask of the Phantasm
Wall-E
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Titan AE
