When they were in civilain clothes out of costume sitting around a big room talking it was difficult to keep track of whether it was Wanda or Widow who had said something unimportant.
yeah just got back from it. very pleasantly surprised. Winter Soldier was probably better overall but this was still very very solid and felt like a full movie which is quite impressive considering the amount of stuff they had to include. It has by far the most fanservice since the first Avengers but unlike Avengers it's all tied by a solid plot and can probably stand up to repeated viewings. Action was great. Fanservice was great. Last act was very very good. I'd give it a 9 to Winter Soldier's 9.5.

Same, I would have preferred more Wasp from the beginning but I understand how Ant-Man got delayed so long. Even though Hope wasn't the Wasp in the movie, she was still an important character and it was understandable why Hank didn't want her risking her life after he lost his wife. I think they handled Hank very well as somebody who was both sympathetic and not without issues due to the pym particles. The movie handled everything really well, and Wasp is set up to be part of IW.
I know the "wait for it" excuse gets old with representation, but if you look at the lineup coming out with the black actress in Thor, the cast for Luke Cage, the Black Panther and Captain Marvel movies, you can see that these things are clearly being worked on.

The Wasp flashback is one of my favorite scenes in the movie because despite being short and 'killing' her off, it's legitimately the most heroic thing a woman has gotten to do in the entire MCU to date (as an actual hero, not helping a hero), she's missing rather than dead, and it completely justified Hank keeping Hope side lined despite her being more than capable.
And the end of the movie is a big "yep, Hope should have been in the suit and everybody knows it. So now she will be".
