Before? Team Cap

After? Team Iron Man.

Both sides had understandable motivations but the only reason I was on Team Cap int he first place is because I thought Tony was going to be an absolute cunt about the accords. Turns out he's just doing his best to make as much good as he can out of a bad situation.

Plus, I have to admit, I really like his suit in this movie.

Do you think Thor would laugh about all of this when he returns to earth?
And how would they all team up for Thanos after this shitshow?
Thor speech or just like Avengers1 where in they unite because coulson got 'killed'? But this time its the real deal with Vision dying in the hands of Thanos.

>Wanda's suffering

She literally Beat the ever loving shit out of Vision to leave a house no one on this board would ever leave and probably cost Tony more to build than rebuilding everything in Sarkovia just to break the law.

She deserves the weekend she spent in a highly maintained prison before being busted out.
>>
>>82381947
Cap. He's been my favorite since they made Cap 1 star a boy scout without the slightest hint of irony.

I was getting tired of the House/Tony/Wolverine snarky tone everything had back then, and Cap shone like a beacon of hope.

But man, did they make me undecided by the end of the movie. I even fucking felt for Zemo. Everybody was just in a tragic situation with understandable reactions, even if not logically justifiable ones.

I always thought of the Russos as efficient story tellers on a brainy level, and Gunn as the emotional kind, but this has shown that they have a lot more to them. I guess early community should've warned me, but one always remembers the themed episodes, even though they only worked when interwoven with the regular ones.
>>

>>

>>
>>82382216
I don't think MCU thor would oppose to it, since Tony isn't as much of a villain and never cloned him.

But I think we're gonna see Wanda take on his place on THAT scene from the comics. That's what makes the most sense.

>Do you think Thor would laugh about all of this when he returns to earth?

I think the Winter Soldier thing would really mess with his moral code. Because on one hand, Cap's situation reminds him of MUH LOKI, but the revelation of Tony's plight would tug at his heart because his mother recently died and he did in fact get revenge on the person responsible. Add to that, "he wasn't in his right mind" and "you're a prince aren't you? Would you tolerate an unchecked vigilante group in Asgard if it cost civilian lives?"
>>
>>82382346

>"you're a prince aren't you?"

This alone made me really want a movie where Thor and T'Challa learn all about being great leaders together.

>applying logic to waifufags
>>
>>82382447
I can see T'Challa admiring how well Thor handled his mother's death instead of going off the rails like he did when T'Chaka died.

In turn, Thor would respect how T'Challa did not shy away from the throne as he had.

Then he would complain about how humid Wakanda is because the greenest places he's been to have been cold, dry forests.

>>

Yeah. She already kind of did it, but she's not full power yet.

Tony is scared of her, too. He never called her to ask her to stay put, he resorted to Vision. He also never talks to her on the Raft or anywhere else.
>>
>>82382766
(cont) It kind of makes sense too, since she's the one whose powers he can't understand at all, really. He has some idea on what Vision can do, if not how, but she's just too foreign for him.

How can anyone support being on the same side as Ross, even if it's a compromise, is beyond me.

And don't give me that "but they need to, to be legitimate", they'd just become a useless force, as it'd likely depend on the security council which would NEVER agree on which missions to give them.

Steve: Stark...hey. I just wanted to talk to you about...huh, what are these?
Tony: Cap, just the man I didn't want to see. You've ruined the surprise. I'd like you to meet the Iron Legion 2.0. Just a little something for crowd control and protection while we do our thing. I just need to put in the finishing touches to the friend/foe subroutines and they'll be ready to go. But, with me being me, I've got a little time to spare. What did you want to talk about?
Steve: Uhhh, it can wait

(later)

Steve: Tony, I think it's high time we talked about your pare-Banner?
Bruce: Hi Steve
Steve: Are you...are you two making armor for the Hulk?
(Bruce chuckles)
Tony: Thanks, Rogers. You just cost me 10 bucks. No, it's not for clothing the Hulk but for...busting the Hulk
Steve: Why would you make that? (to Banner) And why would you help him make that?
Bruce: In case I lose control. Just a little contingency for a worst case scenario
Tony: But it's made us come up with all sorts of great ideas. Go ahead, tell him about it. Tell him.
Bruce: No
Tony: Tell him
Bruce: No, I don't want to
Tony: C'mon, it was your idea
Bruce: And I don't want to share it
Tony: if you won't, I will
Bruce: Fine. Uh, to save on storage space and to make sure it's ready to be deployed at any given moment, we're going to keep the armor up (points up) in low orbit on a Stark Satellite
Steve: This...Hulk busting armor is just going to be up there? All the time?
Tony: Oh don't get your Stars and Garters in a twist, Rogers. It's perfectly safe. And as an upside, it's not JUST for containing the Hulk. If ever I need to hit a bad guy hard and heavy, I can just have Jarvis call this down and (punches palm) Stark Smash
Bruce: I would like to reiterate that I have never once said that word as the Hulk.
Tony: Yeah, whatever. Steve! Anything else we can help you with?
Steve: Uh...mmm...nah...it can wait. Just...this won't kill Banner will it?
Tony: No. Anyone else though? I make no promises
Steve: Right

He went against his fathers orders when he was unreasonable and was willing to give Mjolnir for going against his will once the trouble was over.

MCU Thor would be very conflicted about Civil War and probably take no side.
>>
>>82384715
yes, packed and lines. Not that much because all of the theaters have like 4 cinemas dedicated to the movie.

>3 regular 2D showings
>always 1 3D showing

I wanted to get reservations but luckily not that many on the Mall I went to. Might be different on other Malls.

>>
The Russos have such a good grasp on how to shoot fights with these characters, its astounding. Vision alone is amazing. So much phasing. Leaps and bounds above the boring slugfests of Whedons.

I can't wait for them to rescue Thor and Hulk.
>>
>>82384818
I like the fact that most marvel movies or big blockbusters are shown in March-May, then on September-November.

International movie Holiday releases are always fucked here because they give way to the local film festival which sucks ass btw.

Though I don't know why we get first dibs on movie releases.

One of my main complaints about the movie was the shaky cam fights. I really hope they dial it back and get a long wide shot and little to no cuts.

Yeah, it's once of those "tricks" used in action movies to simulate speed. It's good to a degree but I noticed that the Russo's only used it for close up fights which means they know it doesn't belong in big scale fighting

Iron Man, before and after.

I feel Cap represents the whole American idea of intervening in third world affairs which only keep the whole terrorist / freedom vs them war going, so I could only side with Iron Man. Then once Black Panther showed his face that only cemented it.

Couldn't go against Spidey or Widow at first either.

Before: Team Cap

After:.... I don't know man.

Both sides did questionable things. But both sides were right to some extent. And both sides were somewhat justified in what they did.

The first part of the film goes into the difficulties of heroics. Both Cap and Tony are right. The second part goes into Cap doing the vigilante thing, While tony is just trying to follow orders. both were kinda right.

And in the third part, while Tony was being emotional and irrational, Steve had betrayed him. By not letting him know about the nature of the death of his parents. Tony has become a man seeking vengeance and restitution, whats fair, while Steve has become a shadow of himself, no longer the strong eys-man whow as accountable, but a person who ahd actually held a secret. I can actually see the movie Steve as being a member of the MCU version of the Illuminati. Not as a secret government kind of thing, but more as an above the law vigilante thing

The most poignant part of the movie was when Steve dropped the shield.

...Actually you know what. I think there is a team I can get by at the end. #TeamBlackPanther. Because, the real moral of the story, at the end of the day, is that vengeance consumes us all, and divides us.
>>
My 9yo son was Team Ironman before the movie.

Iron Man before the movie, I personally liked the idea of some kind of regulation but knew it had faults (faults that could only be fixed from the inside etc.). I'm glad that was still the case, even at the end of the movie.

But by the end of the movie? Black Panther. His scene near the end was fantastic and, let's be honest, he's the side you're supposed to be on. I'm really looking forward to the Black Panther movie now.
