Today is May 1st, National batman day.
http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/fun/batman-day
Let's celebrate by having a thread dedicated to batman and his adventures in comics.
Remember when batman was a cold blooded killer? It was a different time.
/r/ing 24/7
It was posted the other day, a lovely tribute to the caped crusader
Did you know that in his earlier appearances in the 1940s Dick Grayson would purposefully kill criminals with batman's approval?
One of his first fight scenes features him kicking someone off of a construction platform.
Ah well, guess this thread's a bust.
Maybe next year, then.
Come on guys, give batman your love.
If not for him, then do it for Jason.
Sweet, innocent, little Jason.

Bruce a shit.

Not very experienced with storytiming, but I'll give it a try.

So, just to generate discussion: Batman's appearances in TV/movies often have the best music. Does /co/ have a favorite Batman song?

Well mask of the phantasm is the obligatory answer, and while it wasn't actually my favorite as far as songs go, the joker's theme from the dark knight has got to be my favorite villain theme.

If that happened today he'd be getting mobbed by fans.
>>82382227
Sorry, forgot to say; that's the end. Hope people had fun.
>>82382187
Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, he can be a big guy, but it's certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots than the tortured manlet crying out for mommy and daddy.
>>82382293
True, but how swole should he be?
There's a limit, right?
What day isn't Batman day for you faggots?
>>82382325
Superman day
And Spiderman day.

>>82382227
Thanks for the dump!I swear there was a segment where Batman lectured some street punk girl into straightening out in this story (big reason was because he remembered her name like he did with the accounting guy) but I guess somebody just mixed in a different comic last time I saw this storytimed.
>>82382207
If I pull that off, would you die?
>>82383556
It depends on what you pull off.
Although unless you're actually superman I doubt you'll be able to do anything other than dislocate one of my limbs.
>>82380330
Does Batman really need his own official day? Every day is Batman day. Especially on /co/.
>>82383650
We celebrate superhero birthdays, I just thought it would be fun to have a thread dedicated to batman on is official holiday.

Predictions if it hasn't happened already
>Some people talking about how cool Batman is
>Greg Rucka pretending he isn't Greg Rucka and talking about lesbian waifus
>Someone saying Dick is best Batman
>Someone saying Dick/Tim/Damian is best Robin
>Thread devolves from there with shitposting
>Something something something Morrison

I hate it, too, anon, but there's a time and a place.

Batman doesn't cripple people.
rip nice Batman
a shame he has been turned into the asshole of the family and nothing more
>>82386704
Yeah, as a receptionist to the Wayne Enterprises building.
I think she had a cameo later in a different run in Batman Inc. or something.
>>82387425
I was being a sarcastic ass for my own pleasure.
>>82387882
Oh.
That would make for an interesting story someone got crippled and now GCPD are forced to comply with their demands and start hunting down batman.
>>82387433
T_T
>>82387989
I'm sure Bruce saw to it that they were well taken care of after that.
>>82382070
Kek, thank god for the kids, you KNOW bruce was about to nail her
>Watched Batman Begins yesterday and just finished TDK without knowing it was Batman Day
I forgot how much I liked those movies and their score. The main theme is pretty damn inspiring.
A shame Nolan never got around making a third one, I wonder what would have happened in it, with Bruce having to relentlessly continue to be Batman even if he is seen as a killer. Could have had Nygma as a genius detective/profiler who is secretly his own white whale, only known as the Riddler, Have him be obsessed about building a criminal legacy that will only be known after his death, where he'll be seen as the smartest man of both law and crime.
How would you have ended the trilogy?
>>82388283
A live action retelling of Mark Miller's "the dark knight strikes again"
With Gary Busey playing Dick grayson, and nicolas cage as Old Batman.
Goodbye
Deedee.
>>82392076
What?
Anyone have that page where he walks into Gordon's office without his costume and convinces Jim that he's Batman disguised as Bruce Wayne?
>>82392244

I seconding this, that sounds fucking hilarious.
