I have a weird thing when drawing Hope, she hardly looks like the one in the show when i draw her since I have a very specific way to draw lipstick lips, the one in the animation doesnt even have Hope's trademark eyelashes because they looked very off when animated sadly, so I had my fears of people not even recognizing her...

I think your Hope is quite recognizable — if nothing else, her hairstyle is very distinctive. I think it's not a problem, if you adopt a more personal style, in regard to Hope's makeup: the important thing is that the makeup itself shows at all, as it's a distinguishing feature of the character.
I personally have HUGE problems portraying Janna, instead: the shape of her head is somehow ineffable for my brain. Speaking of which, this week has been beyond unproductive, for me: it's been COUNTER-productive, as I've spent a couple days trying to draw "Track Runner Janna" for NW, only to realize that the end product was terrible, and that I have to restart from scratch. …I'm not feeling very motivated currently, sorry.

Janna's face is really the bane of my existence: she has a square jaw in the cartoon, and at times even more sharp! And also, she's quite asymmetrical most of the times, probably to convey how shifty she is. When translated in my style, she loses all femininity, and I struggle to keep her faithful to the original, while making her somewhat pretty.

I'm not 100% faithful to the show's style and proportions, that's for sure: though I guess I'm improving on my own style, little by little, and the feedback from the general greatly helps with that. After all, in that very drawing I had made corrections on both Jackie and Hope's face, thanks to Anons pointing me in the right direction.

No kidding: despite how prevalent they are in the series, scenes where characters hug can look quite weird for that very reason: in order not to have their head too close, in fact, Star and Marco are kept sliiightly apart.
I guess it's an inevitable trade-off.

Well the show's proportions a relatively fluid, hence the numerous examples of Star's alien facesignoring the fact that she is, in fact, an alien not withstanding.For real though, with fan related content there's a balance between being true to the show's style and having ones own styles relatively in-keeping with the show. I personally value your work in the context of the latter, you clearly like a more adult take of the characters proportions which is understandable and certainly appreciated.
Have you ever given thought to trying to have a go at the shows actual style? Whilst there's no need to, individuality is lauded within reason, you may find even more anons appreciative of your work, especially when season 2 and 3 hits. I could try drawing closer to the show's style, sure: in fact, it should be kinda easier, I think, since the animation requires them to use a very simplified style, with less details.

Oh, well it was only a suggestion, perhaps even more of an inquiry at best. I was mainly curious to see if you ever planned to try it, I'm personally very happy with your style, modern shows tend to favour the noodle arms/leg setup which can be somewhat visually unappealing, certainly in the case of female characters. So by all means, if you feel comfortable with your style, stick with it and refine it as you see fit, I imagine it'll only get better over time, as is already seemingly the case.

I mainly use the path tool: the outline is usually 9 points, main lines are 6, and details 3 or so. The some edges or connections I do by hand with the normal drawing tools, as well as other details.
That's pretty much the only way I know for me to draw as cleanly and precisely as I prefer.
