One guy had a theory that Vriska used her powers as Thief of Light to exchange metaphorical roles with Lord English (a character's role in a story falling under the purview of Light). The idea was that English is the cue stick and Vriska is an 8-ball, but she switched it up so that English was the 8-ball and could therefore be pocketed in the black hole that Calliope created.

As an aside, I always liked the subtle idea presented earlier on that every Denizen has an ultra weapon of the element of their player, but a design belonging to the player opposing them geographically or whatever pattern was intended.
So Echidna, with Jade, ends up with those quills that Rose can use. While Hephaestus had a time element hammer. Meaning, by whatever logic, that Typheus likely had a darkness/wind element sword, and Cetus a water/light based gun.
