Volume 1 and some of volume 2 most of the female characters were Mary Sue's.
Only one's I can think of that didn't have that much Mary Sue moments were Ruby and Weiss who have basically lost most of the fights in the series. Pyrrha was the Queen of Mary Sue's until volume 3's ending but just because a character has lost one or two fights doesn't strip them away of their Mary Sue status, it's just for the convenience of the plot.

My buddy whose into RWBY and lurks these threads bought me GE, and I gotta say while it was short it was incredibly fun to play and the graphics and environment design were fairly top-shelf stuff.
Only issue I had, and something we both agreed on, is that the characters bar Weiss seem overpowered, while Weiss seems a little more balanced to the enemies. It was most evident for me in blake, who played like "hold down X for long ass combos and kill shit with ease." I'm hoping they sort out the balancing and junk before the go adding more characters in, as much as I'd love so see JNPRbut mostly CRDL, god I fucking want to see CRDL in this game.
