So, just got back from the theatrical screening in my city. My thoughts for anyone who cares (ie. No one)
Holy fuck Vol.1's animation was actually a lot better than I remembered. Conversely, the voice acting was even worse. So win some, lose some. Also think I might like White Rose more than ever...
Also, Ozpin Keikaku seriously intensifying. Going back, there are a couple of moments during the Emerald Forest Exam that really hint at his plotting something. Like Glynda asking about what he set out as "Relics" that year, only to be met with silence, then later we see that they're chess pieces...or how when she mentions Jaune being pathetic and how it sucks to be Pyrrha, he gets this weird look on his face. Obvious assumption is major foreshadowing for her death, which we know has been planned all along...but something about the timing makes me think it was just as much about Jaune. So wondering if that'll go anywhere.
Speaking of Jaune, his "Bullied" arc is, as most say, much more bearable in one sitting. But the way they build up his aura and possible semblance, which still hasn't paid off, is even more infuriating. It's also much harsher to go back and see how dismissive of Pyrrha he was at first.
Anyway, RWBY Chibi's pretty cute. Lighting on the models still seems a bit off, but the animation is quite nice. Was really cute, so looking forward to seeing more of that.

I always get the suspicion that Miles and Kerry had something else planned for the show but later on these id as were scrapped. But yeah in all honesty the length of the Bully arc isn't bad when you watch it in one setting, people were mostly pissed on how they had to wait weeks apon weeks for it to be over. Thankfully the increased runtime of the show and Miles and Kerry running multiple arcs into one has fixed anything Jaune related for me. And honestly?
