It was kind of an amazing way to fool you into feeling like some characters are distinct or at least keep them feeling very distinct in your head. Each quirk and color lent its own idea of a personality to each character, even the many barebones shallow ones.

I'm sure you understand the difference between oc and oc faggotry. The crowd that moved into Homestuck circa Act 5 were formerly of the Hetalia fandom and others of their ilk, who follow works of fiction primarily for shipping drama, a cast of special snowflakes, and obnoxious OC potential. Same with MLP and Sonic for that matter.
There's nothing wring with designing a character alone, it's the basis for all role-playing just for instance. But there's that and the oc junkies if you. And they've moved on. You wouldn't even want to try and appeal to them. There's bigger game in town now for them, and they'd only eat you alive like they did with Hussie anyway.

Up til the end of the Gigapause I was sure that the twist with Homosuck Act 3 was going to be that Karkat really was going to be a Limeblood, but when LE entered Universe A he changed Karkat's blood to cherry red in his own image, as Karkat reminded him of his younger self.
So Karkat didn't just give B cancer, but was symbolic of the LE cancer that always was in Universe A.

Why don't the contents of the lotus capsule get duplicated? No special properties of the capsule besides perfectly preserving something until it opens are given in the comic. There are ways for Hussie to handwave it but until then, it's going on the big question's list.
We should have a second (doomed?) Bec Noir and White King running around. Now seeing Bec Noir react to Crockercorp drones, that would have been interesting. It could've also been used as an excuse for Sawtooth and Squarewave not turning up again, as they were destroyed fighting him off.

You know what could make Hussie some money or interest? All he has to do is a side comic or book featuring Sburb lore. That's IT. He could write a series with bits of art, like different types of unusual sessions like the Dead/Null/Void ones he outlined. Explain weird sessions and how they variate. Stuff like that. People actually loved that stuff! He just hated doing it apparently.
