Anyway, DC higher-ups supposedly "quarantined" him a couple of years ago with an unofficial edict that no female staff would ever work directly under his supervision.
Most of the allegations haven't really been substantiated beyond rumors and hearsay, except for one incident, and it happens to be one of the worst ones—it's about him forcibly groping and kissing a DC freelancer's girlfriend at Wondercon in 2012, in full view of several witnesses. This is a real problem for sure, one that all independent contractors in any industry have to deal with, not just comics freelancers. I mean sure, you can complain about your assigned supervisor's misbehavior (whether it be something like sexual harassment or something more mundane like professional incompetence), and maybe you'll "win" some sort of settlement, but there's always the risk that you get labeled as a complainer or "difficult to work with."
