Ruby has generally been very receptive to Emerald every time we've seen them interact, so I think it'd be funny to see Weiss be at odds with her. Wouldn't work for two reasons.
1) It would give Ruby more than enough time to react against Cinder and at least save the body. No disney death.
2) They probably WANT people to speculate and debate on whether or not she'll come back to life as another way to keep people talking aboit and interested in the show between seasons.
They probably want the option to bring her back available to them too (I'm not saying they WILL, calm your autism), just in case they want to a few seasons down the line.
It's easier to explain bringing someone back from magical glowy Disney death dust than it is to bring them back from a brutal and overly graphic killing and turning them into plain ol' grey and white ashes.
Again, not saying they WILL bring people back from the dead, but they'll certainly give the popular characters either vague or cartoony/disney deaths to at least keep their options open.
