FNKI could possibly work, but it highly depends on what Weiss' side of the story is like, if she needs to speak to someone who has nothing to do with her family. But the thing about this it has to been scenes written with them in mind, not just having a scene for the sole sake of their inclusion.
ABRN, no matter how I look at it, just seems awful. The only thing I can see them doing is helping RNJR is Haven, but the problem with that is that I can't see them doing anything that can't be done with SSSN, and with much more ease and less set up. While I think that SSSN's introduction in V4 is going to be awkward no matter what, due to Scarlet and Sage not having been properly introduced, it would still be better then trying to work ABRN into the script since you need to build them all up from scrap.

I disagree. From a storytelling perspective, it was very weak, BECAUSE her character development didn't feel complete.
Miles and Kerry, and by extension Monty, made the biggest mistake you could make when killing a character.
They showed us what they could do with her before killing her.
How is Pyrrha going to be affected mentally by what she did to Penny?
What fallout is she going to have to face for what she did to Penny?
How will she deal with her fall from grace as a hero?
How will she deal with her failure to stop Cinder?
Would she train and go after Cinder to try and get the maiden powers back again?
How will she deal with with Jaune after what she did to him...And then what she did to him immediately after?
And all of these could have splintered into further story threads for her. All of these threads opened up in the final what...Two hours of her life?
These are all story threads that opened up for Pyrrha, and remained open until the moment Cinder put an arrow in her breast.
If you're going to kill a character, make sure they're actually done. Don't open up all of these new, interesting ways to go with them and then piss it.
Well, it's too late now. Those threads are wasted. Even if they bring Pyrrha back to life, you can't go back to any of that stuff, because "I just came back from the dead" kind of trumps any of that other stuff that would no doubt no longer matter by the time she came back.
Killing characters to activate another character's deus ex machina powers is literally, L I T E R A L L Y, Dragon Ball tier writing.
And while killing a character for the sake of other characters development IS valid, you shouldn't kill off your more developed characters to see how a bunch of lesser developed characters react.
As it stands, the only characters that 'Benefit' in the slightest from her death are Ruby and Jaune.

Killing Pyrrha didn't JUST activate Deus Ex Machina powers (which I agree is a bulshit reason to kill someone), and it didn't just give a reaction point for the other characters, it gave them ROOM to grow. Pyrrha being as strong as she it was a flat out crutch to every other character, especially team JNPR. Because she was strong, they didn't have to be. Now that's gone, and everyone has realized that they're going to have to step up their game big time.
On a final note, I'll give you that the character MAY have had some SMALL places to grow, but that itself just goes to show how tragic her death was meant to be. In life, people don't just get to die when their done. She was taken "too soon" and that is part of the point. Either way, you can't just write it off as bad writing just because you disagree with it, because there ARE good reasons and justifications for it.

A) Berserk is written in a completely different style than this show with a completely different focus, mainly the depravity of humanity and showcasing victory through determination and still surviving through the hard times
B) That whole series is ABOUT hope. Hope that Guts can be freed of his curse. Hope that the demons can be routed from the world. Hope that he can get the one love of his life back.
C) It never had "lighter" times. The "golden days" flashback was shown already after we kind of knew what Grifith would do and was just meant to emphasize the despair that he was currently in.

And the writing quality is even on par with Miles and Kerry. Maybe even slightly better. (But only slightly)
