Well romance obsession is a pretty large one, given that stems into other areas of interest like films or books, given that can be the driving factor for interest, like characters or plot for other people. I imagine Nepeta would love cheesy romantic films as much, if not more than Karkat. Outside of that, she seems to be one of the more sympathetic trolls, caring about what happens to others close to her even if she's not fond of them, which is similar to Karkat who is noted as being very caring for others. That's likely the big connection the sufferer and the disciple shared as well.

Oh I agree, I loved the time the two were together as he always seemed to keep his cool better around her. I just wish it'd actually played into his development over the course of the comic as it seemed like an obvious way to show him growing in the wake of the tragedy that happened on the meteor.
