There have been a few. F-Zero and Kirby got full series, and if I recall they made some Animal Crossing movie.
I think they just don't trust other companies with their IPs, at least outside the realm of gaming. They could easily do anime of Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Zelda, Metroid, and more that would probably do pretty well. For some, like FE and Zelda, they could do a totally original story with an original cast somewhere within or outside the timeline so as to not interfere with their respective franchises' games.

We need more older shows. Something that made Toonami what it was back in the day. Kai is good, but YuYu, Sailor Moon, Rurouni Kenshin, all of those old shows now uncut on Toonami would be glorious. And again, the animation. I can't stress this enough. Even OG HxH would work.
