How's that cartoon of yours coming along, anon?

Cartoons are a waste of time and are the lowest form of entertainment in america.

Sad to hear about him becoming homeless. ;_;
I don't understand why any individual would want to work on a cartoon. It's such an incredibly inefficient way of storytelling. The appeal is obvious enough but it's like using a fighter jet to take a trip to the grocery star; a relative waste of energy and money

My nonexistent cartoon is still better than yours, hack
I want to make a living off drawing cartoons, ever since I was a kid. But my parents refused to let me do so and demanded I become a lawyer. Now they tell me to do whatever my heart desires. Feels bad man.

sounds like your parents just tell you whatever they feel like without actually thinking about it
you should sue them for negligence

Even though I hate how they tried to dictate my life, they still genuinely loved me, they just expected too much. I want to learn how to draw cartoons and make my own cartoon show, but i don't want my finance degree to be worth nothing.

I need to practice squandering characters' potential first...
>>82064909
You could make lots of finance jokes

This.
I am just a contributing writer, but the creator/principal artist and producer had a meeting with some Cartoon Network people last week.
>>82066607
Does your cartoon involve any singing?
>>82066607
Wait, what? Really? Why?
Also Jesus, I can't fathom coming here if I were a writer since it's just a bunch of autistic trolls pretending to bitch and whine and moan about everything, anything, and nothing at all. All the goddamn time.

From what I've seen, the ones that enjoy it the most and look forward to work in a cartoon are the animators, storyboarders and artists in general. Writers see it at best as a nixer sort of thing.
>>82066660
People who work in the industry have come here before, sounds like you need to grow a spine.
>>82066607
I thought Hirsch was making something for FOX.
Considering I have zero (0) artistic talent I'd say not very well.
>>82065729
Was there a single character in that show whose potential wasn't frittered away?
>>82067749
McGucket, Grunkle Stan.
And that's about it.
>>82067749
From the people on the wheel who were the main characters.
Soos was probably the only one on the wheel who got a decent run with just two seasons.
>>82064909
Just do both. Be a cartoonist for fun.
I can't draw
>>82064315
Look at him, he had it all. Money, Fame, Office. Now he's sitting on his lazy ass posting unfunny "jokes/memes'?" on twitter.
>>82067749
There's always people making fan stuff I guess.
>>82066660
I am a nobody writer. I just happened to end up becoming friends and working on some indie films and stage shows with a guy that used to work for Adult Swim. He showed me his art and basic ideas and I helped develop some things and wrote scripts.
And actual industry people with a good bit of fame come here, it's not that strange.
>>82066660
It's not that people in the industry don't come here. It's that they gain nothing from coming.
