Are you going to cry at the end of Civil War?
>>
probably not because it's confirmed no one dies
>>
>>82063053
>Tony tries to provoke his teammates into getting into a fight with him after Ultron gets away
>Steve just tanks his insults and gets everyone to work

Underrated exchange.
>>
>>82063053
I don't watch garbage, so no.

>captain america would sacrifice billions of lives for teamwork
>>
>Civil War comic has to do with superhuman registration
>Civil War movie has to do with.. well, dunno what exactly but i know it's not about superhuman registration
>>
>>82063203
Maybe watch the movie and then get back to us.
>>
>>82063203
How is "not trying to provide safety by oppression" sacrifice?
It's not like he initiates the invasion.
>>
>>82063246
You're mixing up like three movies there buddy. And you quoted the wrong post.
>>
>>82063203
I feel like this is really am origin story for the MCU. Like everything leading up to Civil War was just a prologue. I think Civil War is the event that properly establishes that this is a world with growing amounts of metas and vigilantes. Unlike the comics where Civil War was a turning point in a world with hundreds of heroes for decades.

In the movies this is a world with only a handful of heroes just starting their careers. The world is becoming a bigger place. This movie will serve to turn the MCU from a normalish world to full comics heroes and villains running around left and right (most of spideys stories push on that aspect of the universe what with supervillains robbing places daily)

Civil War serves a more fitting purpose in this Marvel Universe, starting it.
>>
>>82063203
The comic even is shit
The movie is fantastic

What does that tell you

Some hero.

fuck off, Tony
>>
>>82063170
It has a certain appeal to it, he is into his hierarchy and military command by rank, what with his training and conditioning done at a time where certain losses were acceptable. I am sure if a cohesive force is confronted the objective is achieved and the American can do attitude of the day created the mentality of "We will rebuild" after Pearl Harbor and latter Marshall plan that embodied that era.

Or you know its fucking depthless fiction in the guise of a greater lie of a waning and artistically spent society.
>>
>>82063359
I think they have a better chance of winning together than not.
>>
>>82063267
>And you quoted the wrong post.
My bad.
> You're mixing up like three movies there buddy.
Because this scene refers to all three movies.
Tony wants to provide proactive safety to prevent another alien invasion before it's actually happening while for Steve it is project insight all over again.
Bonus points for Tony doing it behind his back like Nick did.
>>
>>82063203
Maybe you should try watching the trailers

>>

It shows a lack of consequences.
The avengers can all to kill each other and nothing bad happens, the MCU is a joke.
It's lol 70 deaths in the battle of new York all over again.
>>
>>82063785
What's the point of killing a superhero, be it in comics or movies, if they are going to come back in the next movie?
In comics they will never die permanently, and in movies they only die when their contracts are up.

I guess you don't watch superhero movies at all, then?
In the end, it all gets rebooted.
Even in X-Men they made a movie to retcon absolutely everything.
>>
>>82063785
There will never be consequences in the form of deaths of main characters in these franchises.
They want to make movies about all superheroes, they are not going to kill anyone.
Not in here, not in FOX's universe, nor in the DCEU.
Maybe when someone's contract ends.

>>
>>82064217
Well less people died in the avengers than half the daily body count for new York.
It's very repetitive how they have shitty villains over and over who are totally incompetent and never accomplish anything. Why should I care about what the heroes are going to do if I know that it'll be completely status quo at the end with the day saved, villain defeated, and everyone nice and living.
>>
>>82064396
>shitty villains over and over who are totally incompetent and never accomplish anything
Yfw that would happen to Doom too.
>>
>>82063337
The Civil War event is regarded as one of the worst, but the death of Captain America is also hailed as straight up ballsy and awesome.

You telling me failing to adapt the best part of a shitty comic event wouldn't make what's regarded as one of the best Marvel films into THE best Marvel film?
>>
>>82063170
He'd sacrifice billions for freedom and his ideals of society.

It's still not an easy moral choice, but it's less asinine than what you said.
>>
>>82064448
That happened in Fallen Son, this movie is about the Civil War.
>>
>>82064448
>is also hailed as straight up ballsy and awesome.

Character deaths are never ballsy because they will always come back.
People here are complaining about something that has plagued comics since the begining: the death of a hero is meaningless.
>>
>>82063791
>>82064217
>People defending the lack of death as if the feels come from dying itself

Guise, do any of you indulge in long term media? Then you'd know you can still feel even if you know they'll come back. I had feels when Wolvie died even though we all know he'll be back.
>>
>>82064452

>Character deaths are never ballsy because they will always come back.

Confirmed for the following

>Not watching trilogies of awesome films
>Not reading comics
>Not watching sweaty man drama
>>
>>82064459
Well its not like Tony was planning a fascist dictatorship. He was thinking about looking for pragmatic solutions but Cap was all "no we do it my way."
>>
>>82064486
Are you kidding me?
Death is always pointless in superhero related things.
Why kill Cap now?
So that he comes back in IW and dies a second time?

>Not reading comics
Precisely is in comics where death is even more pointless.
You'll never see Scarlet Witch bring back people from the death in movies.
>>
>>82063801
Haha. Maybe if the two of them had ever shown anything even remotely resembling friendship. They butted heads constantly. I think the most respect you ever see either of them give each other is when the first meet in Avengers.
>>
>>82064486
>Not watching trilogies of awesome films
What the fuck does this have to do with anything at all?
Plus if that movie is only good because someone dies, then it's garbage.
>>
>>82064473
Why not a permanent death? It would work in the movies.
>>
Literally EVERYONE is in contract for Infinity War, you really expected someone to die?
>>
>>82064486
>literally not a single example
Exactly.
>>
>>82064550
>Infinity War
Is this going to be like the original comic? Thanos and some cosmic hero fighting with all the human heroes on the background doing fucking nothing?
>>
>>82064625
Yeah, and is going to end with Thanos accidentally letting go of the gauntlet and getting arrested by the cops.
>>
>>82064625
>fighting, with
Fixed.
>>
>>82064638
If that means they will reprint the Spidey Super Stories, I'm in.
>>
>>82064625
If it's anything like the Infinity War comic, Thanos won't be doing much and Magus will be the main antagonist for Adam Warlock to fight.

So no, it won't be anything like the comic.
>>
>>82063053
Of course not

To emotionless edge lords that don't have a life, sure.

The daddy hawk speech in AoU is written off as quips, but to any man that had a coach, or decent father, growing up through a hardship that scene was tear jerking as fuck.

Just because you were never motivated by a father figure to accomplish something you didn't think you could doesn't mean no one else ever was son.

Either you're all sociopaths that cannot into feels, jaded into ignorance, or just pessimistic and find complacency with making things as dumbed down as possible to avoid feels all together

>But they'll come back

Obi Wan came back as a ghost, Xavier came back as a post credit scene, and death of Superman was a HUGE deal even when people knew he was going to return. What's your point?

If you're unable to feel attached to characters as fans than just say so. You all act a little bit pretentious about fictional works about sweaty men in silly outfits. At LEAST try not to pretend you're better than the Russos who could have done it if they decided too.

That is perhaps the dumbest thing I've read on /co/ in a long time. To actually think that somewhere, on this planet, an individual truly believes this, is mind boggling. That scene wasn't deep nor tear jerking. You may want to see a psychologist, anon.

How sorrowful it is to see brand and character awareness literally being born right before my very own eyes. How I will sob when Doctor Strange, Inhumans and other obscure Marvel favorites of mine become household names in much the same right as Iron Man, Captain America or Spiderman.

Maybe BvS will win an Emmy for 'Best Boy" boom mic operator and I'll be able to thumb my nose once more at the fans of inferior popular works. I simply just can't abide liking something unless it's been awarded some superfluous designation of excellence by sheltered academics.
