What are some capeshit comics that are about fun?

I'm a big fan of the marvel and dc cartoon shows, but I've found that extremely few comics are actually like that at all.

I'm tired of edgy/"gritty" comics with super realistic art styles.

What are some comics that remind you of the DCAU/The few good marvel cartoons?

pic related. Edgelord shit

Check out Ms. Marvel.
Its a youthful lighthearted comic about a new teenage super hero figuring shit out, dealing with crazy bad guys, good young super hero shit.

Also a fan of Howard the duck. It's not a super hero comic book but it features quite a few of them. Its just about an alien duck man working as a private detective on earth that gets caught up in ridiculous shit and is pretty consistently over his head.

Now if you want some of the best stuff ive read in years check out the comic pictured. Superior foes of spider-man. Its a comic about a bunch of b-list spider-man villains who form a kind of crummy version of the villain group the sinister six. Its basically an underdog story but from a bad guys point of view. The characters however are presented incredibly memorably. From leader boomerangs consistent backstabbing of everyone, to shockers sense of cowardice and inferiority, to speed demons immaturity, to the beetles jaded cynicism. Just a great fucking book.

Good fucking shit thank you

This is exactly the sort of stuff I was talking about
>>

I might suggest American Alien.
I know it's by shitty edgelord Max Landis but it's actually been a pretty light hearted and fun take on Clark Kent exploring what it means to be Superman.
It was recently storytimed over here>>82026855

How much comics have you read? Wonder how far back we should be recommending things.

Geoff Johns's Action Comics run was pretty good though.

Plastic Man by Kyle Baker

I feel like I need a better definition of what you do not like because you also just posted a bad comic in the OP, regardless of content.
>>
>>82042717
Current Power Man and Iron Fist is pretty nice as well. Really liking their banter and the two skull-faced henchmen tailing them.
>>
>>82044860
Yeah just read the most recent issue and really like it. Though i feel they sometimes stretch danny a little too far into the realm of the comedy relief sidekick. but it all kinda fits into the style of the comic. Everything is a bit exaggerated.
I think its a good instance of using canon and continuity to ones advantage without being shackled by it.

Do people like totally awesome hulk about these parts? cos holy fuck i love it. Cho art and its damn funny. It's kind of a good bad thing though. Because one of my all time fav comic book shake ups was post wwh when they had the incredible hercules with amadeus cho as his sidekick. It was fucking awesome and of course also had Greg Pak writing it so no wonder. But i loved the team up. So the great thing is that we get a good amadeus cho comic book AND a pretty damn good hercules book both ongoing right now.
BUT the bad is we don't get a hercules/amadeus cho book where they do shit together. Either way i'm happy but i do hope theres a crossover. Or if one of these two books is popular and they bring og hulk back maybe roll one into the other.

I thought Cyclops' optic blasts were concussive in nature, how does he set it to disintegrate?
>>
>>82053845
The concussive force against his skull completely shattered it, if he disintegrated his head there wouldn't be chunks. Or at least I surmised, explanations for Cyclops' powers were never really fleshed out in the ultimate universe

Try the Marvel Adventures line.

They're supposed to be for children, which means they're automatically superior to the main line, which is supposed to be for 20-somethings who just act like children.

What are some older titles that meet this criteria?
