I've never understood how anyone could like Power Rangers. It's poorly acted, has terrible action, terrible costume design and every episode follows the exact same formula. It's basically the prime example of why anime doesn't work as live action.

This. Honestly I feel like Rita as she is wouldn't work with whatever kind of tone they're trying to establish for this movie. Her last name is literally Repulsa and her design is really hammy. There are already theories that Banks isn't playing the "real" Rita and she's actually the Green Ranger or something, but I don't think she's a villain who has aged very well in terms of concept.
You know, I've seen this pic all day, and if they're doing what I think they're doing with this design and the eventual appearance of a green ranger in a sequel if it gets sequels, I'm okay with this.
