A lot of the complaints I've seen are how it's doesn't really respect the older Surfer comics (ones I'm a fan of) and that Dawn is pretty much a Mary Sue OC. Both of those don't sound appealing to me. And I've enjoyed plenty of Slott's work.

Forever Evil, in my view, is probably one of maybe three decent Big 2 events in the past half-decade, and it's entertaining enough, but it really didn't deserve to be "Best Graphic Novel."
