the new origin is a little hamfisted, but it reaffirms the backstory/history between Splinter and Shredder, so I don't mind

When I first read the new origin story I felt it was a little... incongruous? It felt too overwrought. It's definitely grown on my though, and the actual book itself is consistently fantastic. New Bebop and Rocksteady are great, as well as Krang being cool. Shredder I can take or leave, he seems utterly standard.

I preferred Dan Duncan's art style to the new stuff. The turtles look pretty retarded now.

did idw reboot their turtles or something? i read like 5 or 6 issue up to where they got the different colored masks but never got further.
