The mask is going to be the trickiest part, especially the eyes. The cloth look is important, but you need a hard material for the eyes to not look goofy.
One neat suggestion I saw for how to make it work was to have the yellow parts cloth and the black parts a more rigid material that are shaped to fit his eyes.
