The story of how Ruby and Sapphire fell in love is getting an adaptation as a children's book aimed at readers age 8-12. Petty neat, huh?

Even I know how it would be a tumblr book with really heavy handed writing and drama, again, I love the show but they are not that good at developing characters and drama as they think they are, it comes off as a corny fan fiction a lot of times to be honest

The fact that out of all the episodes they picked this one makes it pretty clear there's an agenda, but I guess with it legal in America now it'd be silly to complain.
Implied homosexuality aside, it feels like Garnet has been reduced to Ruby + Sapphire and is less and less her own character in a way.

They won't be able to get it taken off the shelves or anything. They'll just simply raise such a massive all consuming stink that it and the show will become one of THOSE shows.
Their entire line up will be scrutinized and many people will even want to remove CN from their cable and satelite packages.

I like Steven universe very much but I probably wouldn't let my kid watch it. It's kinda sexual.
That being said I don't think LGBT people are inherently sexual. But it's uncomfortable when people are sloppily making out all over the place and claim it as some sort of subversive act. I don't want to see ANYBODY making out in public. Anyway Steven Universe is needlessly sexual and I wouldn't subject anyone's kids to it
