Then you haven't watched much of it. There's the two parter where they beg for movie to be made Plotz refuses it but another guy picks it up and they become rich. In the end Plotz gets kicked out but Yakko, Wakko & Dot buy stocks just so they can rehire him as it is just not the same.
They express their like for Otto several times throughout the show too.
Or as for more minor characters like Michelangelo in one episode Wakko is trying to figure out a new funny face to pull of and he asks previous minor characters including Michelangelo what they think.

There's one episode with Sound of Music stuff and they can't harm the lady no matter how much they want to because she has done nothing towards them and so they have to hire Slappy to do it. Or so Yakko says while visiting some kid and her dad (at which point Wakko tries to grab some popcorn from her dad and as the dad gets mad at him Wakko hits him with a mallet)
