Star wars is just beating a dead horse. It's over and it's just trying to rub people's nostalgia boners. There is literally nothing good about the Force Awakens, yet Alvin is a cinematic masterpiece. It's something they can do more with and it's a story people actually care about. 20 years from now no one is going to know star wars, but Alvin will be remembered forever.

It is. It's also directed by Mamoru Oshii who also wrote it, something Rumiko Takahashi wasn't too keen on but it's still a great film. I think it far outshines the first one.
