No matter how bad Peggy can get (and she can get pretty bad, even if it's funny), I'm glad she's the way she is as opposed to her just being Southern Marge like she easily could have been.
There aren't really a lot of female egomaniac characters, and I like how Hank is a weirdo in a lot of ways but still incredibly grounded compared to his wife and son.

She's good when she's not being quirky and random and ruins everything and expects everyone to take her side. There are moments when she actually feels remorse for the things she does instead of expecting Dipper to always be her bitch and do everything the way she wants.
