they are all equal, you just fail to notice since they take so long to come out.also its hard to keep quality when you actually have to put out a story instead making a setup and getting cancelled by issue 7 or 20 (like many of the independent comics I have picked up). episodic story telling is for when there is reasonable gap between the episodes,if you want time then write oneshots or standalone books, its insane to expect people to stay interested without new content for 4 months (or in case of some book series for 4 years) shit happens in that time, they could die or just grow out of it
