I genuinely dislike his reductive retellings of stories. His high energy persona is annoying, too.
I wish comics had a cool YouTube community. Cbg19 is hot and I like Chad's Attic but I've given up looking for decent comic content on the tube.
Goddamn you people can't be pleased.
Personally, I enjoy it. Kinda wish that there was more image/non-big studios stuff.
I don't mind him, he's better than cbg19 (annoying tumblerinacunt) and comic island. I'm really on the fence with ComicsExplained, sometimes he's like Morgan Freeman and sometimes he puts me to sleep. Variant usually covers already popular stuff, but he's who got me into comics back in 2013 so I can't really hate the guy. ComicPOP has to be my favorite, they mostly provide background and commentary and are pretty funny

He does only recent stories, or the most popular stories. I was watching his material for almost a year... But when I started reading more and more, I started skipping the videos with stories that I already read. Now, I just watch 1 of his video per month and only the ones from stories I haven't read.
His podcasts are also horrible with 95% marvel fanboyism, 5% DC hating and 0% other companies.
