Mark my words.

The infighting between Feige and Ike is what will sink the MCU unless Disney steps in, fires Ike, and makes Feiges buddy Loeb boss of TV.

Hiw long until the movies want to use someone like, say, Absorbing Man, and they don't get The TV studios permission? Do we just have two Absorbung Men running around?
>>
>>81838638
Sweetie, nobody cares. Go down on Nikki Finke if you want someone to listen to this garbage.
>>
Aren't we having that problem now? Is one of the bad guy in the new Thor movie a character that was already in AoS, but is played by a different actress.
>>
>>81838996
No.
>>
>>81838996
Enchantress is confirmed for Thor 3?
>>
>>81838638
You're reaching there, Micheal. The main problem lies with scheduling issues. The movies are planned waaaay ahead of the TV shows, so the shows have to bend to the canon. Feige doesn't have a huge problem with Ike.
>>
You're making a mountain out of a molehill
>>
>>81839058

I think all the rumors that point to Hela as the big bad
>>
>>81839058
It's rumored
>>
>>81838638
It's already happened. Crusher Creel was the guy who Jack Murdock fought in Daredevil but he was a spry buck in AoS.
>>
>>81838638
>Feiges buddy Loeb boss of TV
Loeb IS the boss of TV.
>>
>>81839069
What? AoS and Netflix shows are both made by Marvel Television under Loeb, and Feige has nothing to do with them. Making Creel the same person was intentional on their part. Like Daisy and Matt being from the same orphanage and the Dogs of Hell being in Daredevil S2.

Feige handles Marvel Studios under Disney. Loeb handles Marvel Television under Perlmutter.
>>
>>81838996
>>81839058
The person that showed up in AoS was Lorelei, the Enchantress' sister.
>>
>>81839215
I believe Crusher Creel was the father of AoS's Creel. The TV side seems to be paying attention to all its details as evidenced by Daredevil's references to the ABC show.
>>
>>81839471
>I believe Crusher Creel was the father of AoS's Creel
Wait, but that would mean that the Creel in AoS is Stonewall. Man, they're really using a lot from Secret Warriors. I should storytime that soon.
>>
>>81839471
>>81839624
He's the same character. Actor is like 40, which would make him 18-20 around the time in daredevil, which is why he got beat up, and why he seeked chemical help.

If anything they're amalgamating the characters of Absorbing Man and Stonewall for simplicity's sake.
>>
>makes Feiges buddy Loeb boss of TV.

No. Shame on you for even suggesting that.
>>
>>81839624
>>81839692
You should still storytime Secret Warriors
>>81839816
Typical Boco, not being up to date on shit. Loeb has ALWAYS been the head of Marvel TV.
>>
>>81839816
Loeb is already the boss of TV. What he suggested is what has always been the case.
>>
>>81839887
>>81839898
I guess I shoukd say, Loeb unfettered by Ike.
>>
>>81839887
>>81839898

Huh, I thought he was only in charge of animation.

He needs to have as few responsibilities as possible.
>>
>>81839816
But Loeb has actually been doing a good job as head of TV. Perlmutter just doesn't allow him to let his underlings talk to the movies' side.

Loeb should go work for Feige instead of Perlmutter. Now that's talking.
>>
>>81839957
He's not involved with animation anymore. When the Netflix stuff was starting up, he left that and was replaced by Walker so Loeb could focus on Marvel Television. That's why USM and AA started doing overarching plots during their season 2/3s.
>>
>>81839957
He's responsible for the Netflix stuff man. It's good that he's a producer for TV shows that have the extra layer of a showruner, so he basically just manages people.

SHIELD even has gotten better. He's legit good at it, it seems.
>>
>>81839957
Jesus Boco, Stephen Wacker has been doing animation since 2014
>>
>>81839970
>Perlmutter just doesn't allow him to let his underlings talk to the movies' side.
He also gives them tiny budgets to work with, but that's forced them to make the most out of what they have.
>>
>>81840039

Good to know.

Has USM improved at all?

A little. They all have, especially Avengers
>>
>>81840044
Meanwhile based Feige invites the SHIELD crew to a screening 4 weeks before the premiere so they can adjust and course correct in time for it not to fuck their show up.
>>
>>81840057
Yeah, its gotten better.

Not necessarily GOOD, just better than it was.

Avengers Assemble, meanwhile, has legit gotten decent. Not as good as EMH, but OK for uts own thing.
>>
>>81840057
Yes, but it's still nowhere near as good as Spectacular. Avengers Assemble has also improved, but is still not as good as EMH.

They've both gone from bad shows to mediocre shows. They're watchable with the occasional good episode or arc, but I wouldn't recommend watching all of either of them.
>>
>>81840124
I will add that the Dr. Doom, Squadron Supreme, and Masters of Evil/Thunderbolts episodes are all pretty good. If you're going to watch any of them, I'd say seek those out.
>>
>>81840124
Those early GotG were painful
>>
>>81840044
>tiny budgets
>we won't gwt Ghost Rider, Kamala Khan, or Howard the Duck until Ike leaves.
>>
>>81840018
I was thinking about this last night when I was bitching about Loeb being a hack and ruining everything he touches. The TV stuff has all been consistently good for the most part. I don't understand it becuase he really fucked Smallville and Heroes, but I hope they keep him contained there and far away from the animation division.
>>
>>81840207
Yes, Perlmutter's restrictevly small budgets are the exact reason we're probably not going to get Ghost Rider and maybe even Blade shows. I remember reading an interview with Loeb and someone else where they said they actually were considering doing both, but the need for CGI is making it hard for them to figure out how they'd do it while staying under budget.

Can't that guy understand you need to soend koney to make money?

Marvel could drive DC out of the TV game like they've locked them out of movies if they would spring for some early aughts level CGI.
>>
Is Marvel going to go full cosmic after Infinity War?
>>
>>81840257
Seeing the CG for the Netflix shows is hilarious already, imagining Ghost Rider on that shoestring would be embarrassing. I'm mildly concerned for Iron-Fists chi hands.
>>81840345
No, why would they?
>>
>>81840219
They have like 8 shows now, so he's too busy to tell people how to do stuff. So now he just assigns people and oversees major continuity.

He's pretty great at it, although the Marvel brand is attracting a lot of great writers and talent for it's visibility and projection, so it kind of sorts itself out, for the most part.
>>
>>81840219
He left before Heroes turned to shit and his Smallville stuff is some of the best
>>
>>81840328

Yes. This is exactly what would happen. If you think for a second that if Fiege wanted to do something and that he would stop if it conflicted with TV you're delusional.

Isn't there some minor character in Civil War rumored to be in Luke Cage?

idk how this would sink the MCU anyway, I bet a lot of people who watch the movies don't even know the shows exist
>>
Here's the thing, will AoS even make it to Phase 4?
>>
>>81841731
It's a new character with the same actress.

People got confused.
>>
>>81841731
>>81841769
Wait, what actress is this?
>>
>>81841766
Syndication money is a hell of a drug.
>>
>>81838638

Speaking of Absorbing Man, in the comics he was given powers by Loki right? I think they could easily write that into AoS. He was one of the people Loki controlled and he gave powers to him to counter Thor, but somehow he never made it to the Battle of New York, like Loki had him doing something else at the time.

BOOM, there you go.
>>
>>81838638
That's what's going to happen, Marvel Studios doesn’t require Marvel Entertainment's permission for anything so if they wanted Absorbing Man they would recast.

I think that's being a little hasty. I don't think recasting means "is all connected" gets canned (look at War Machine and obviously Bruce Banner) but it may be jarring and disconnecting for some.

Infinity War will solve the connections issues, though.

Also agent Sousa was in Avengers. And Agent Carter was produced by the movie studios. And Starlord's mum was in Cap 1. It's okay, it's just a bunch of identical twins separated at birth.

If Hulk can be played by two different actors then I don't see why the same actor can't play two different parts.

It's like an art change on comics. Someone just went off-model or is practicing a bad case of the same-face.

It defeats the whole purpose of a shared universe anyways and Marvel's running into the same problems they founded this whole studio to get away from in the first place.

I don't know about Smallville, but Loeb was actually one of the big reasons Heroes went downhill and was actually fired from it by NBC.

>>81857214
The comic fans would be impressed. Marvel has done a good job at being marketed at the masses but having enough of the comic stuff in it to still cater to the actual fans. And if they can add hype to every movie the whole machine grows. This isnt a single summer blockbuster nor even a trilogy nor even an Xmen style universe where itbis all sequential. This impacts the whole universe. If you make one movie better the others benefit.

Ant man was a great movie that a lot of people only went to see cause it was marvel. But a lot didnt see it cause who the fuck is Ant Man? Now CW reviews are calling him one of the best parts which impacts Ant Man and Wasp. And Ant Man was their trial of doing Dr Strange.

It's all connected like a spider web, pardon the pun. And what benefits one movie leaches into the others. I think what saves Thor in the public eye is his roll in Avengers, which really did have some great moments.

Adding another star to IW will benefit all thebother movies

>Nop, check google.
>In Civil War she's just a random black mother that screams at Stark.

I did, she's playing the same character. It's speculation that she isn't.

You're looking at it from the perspective of the fans

Look at it from the perspective of the executives. They can make a ton of money off of Guardians of the Galaxy. They don't have any reason to bother with Daredevil or go through the trouble of working him into a movie. It's not worth it to them.

Source?

Anyway, it doesn't matter.

It's the TV whows who adapt themselves to the movie.

TV Show are literally Extended Universe that barely, if not at all affect the movies, wile the TV show adapt themselves to the movies.

No, we haven't. So far, there is only One absorbing man and he is in AoS.

Fans are a commodity, that is how thry mske their money. This is how companies grow, they create a market snd then expand.

Or Spider-Man swinging, and Frank catches a glimpse before continuing his Frank.

The Cage villains (Black Mariah, Shades, and Cottonmouth) so far sound like they're going to have barely any similarities to the comic versions.

To be honest, that seems like a similar case to Gideon Malick in Agent of Shield.

Had a small role in the Avengers movie then got more fleshed out in the tV show.

Malick has had a tough life.

>When I asked them over the phone they both responded with a definitive “no” before explaining. “She was cast initially on Robert [Downey, Jr.]’s suggestion to play the character of Miriam. It was only after that we found out she was going to be in Luke Cage…She absolutely is not the same person.”
Man, stuff like this makes me sad. Whedon may have abandoned Agents of SHIELD, and said he wouldn't act as if Coulson survived for the purposes of Avengers movies, but at least he acknowledged it existed. This is not even the first time this has happened.

You said that as if they will not adapt. I can assure you the Netflix team have already modified their writing to make her the same character.

Same way they adapted Ward after hearing about Winter Soldier, even though they had already shot episode one and had to rewrite the rest.

It will not be an issue.

No, my real concern is, will they allow Fisk to play in a Spiderman Solo movie.

Despite the virgins here, D'nofrio was well received. I'd be incredibly retarded for them not to use the same fucking actor for the same fucking character.

But this isn't DC/WB, so I have faith in their abilities.

Not worried about that. More worried they won't used Fisk at all in Spider man movie.

I grew up watching the 90's spider cartoon, so I have always considered him to be his main Nemesis.

Give it time, maybe after Infinity War. He's barely the Kingpin yet.
