What are some comics like Punisher MAX with a lot of graphic violence and fucked up villains?
>>81837599
Just about anything by Garth Ennis, especially Fury MAX.
Do you have any other requirements besides "a lot of graphic violence and fucked up villains"?
>>81837855
Preferably still superhero related
>>81837899
Why?
>>81837899
Just read The Boys
Nemesis
>>81837973
Good point. Scratch that previous qualifier.
>>81837899
The Boys should be EXACTLY what you're looking for. If you want a PG-13 version of that kind of thing then read Hitman, which is legitimately the best comic ever.
Nancy In Hell
Absolution
Black Summer

>But you gotta leave your guns at the door.

The Boys
Hitman
Preacher
Invincible is about superheroes and absurdly violent. Villians aren't that fucked up though.
Kick-Ass is a darker and more fucked up version of the movie, second volume isn't very good but it's worth it for the third volume.
Both Millar and Ellis' run on The Authority are fantastic and have a fair amount of graphic superhero violence with Millar's taking the cake for fucked up villains

YOU THINK YOU BAD?

We are such little men

>tfw bought The Punisher: Black and White by Edmonson as my first Punisher book
>it sucked hard
I assume the Ennis ones are loads better, right?
>>81840546
I'd argue Welcome Back Frank and Ennis' Punisher MAX are about as great as anything ever produced in the medium. Ennis' run is probably the best run on any comic this century. Only Planetary and Busiek's Conan come close.

The Punisher Slavers storytime is still in the archives if you want to check it out.

The 80s/90s ongoings, the Marvel Knights volumes, and the first MAX volume are the stuff you wanna read.
>>81837599
Probably a lot of the other MAX books.

>>81837599
Invincible
>>81841395
Probably a few others that could be added (Terror, Inc. was story timed a little bit ago, and everyone seemed to enjoy it) but all in all this is a good start.
>>81841953
The horror ones are borderline at best. Even Cage and The Hood are iffy.
>>81839916
I think it's time for Butch an' Sundance
>>81841395
what's Alias? that looks pretty cool
>>81842033
Bendis comic (in)famous for buttrape.
Generally considered his second best run after Daredevil, in spite of the buttrape.
>>81842133
that sounds hilarious
I'm inballs deep
>>81840704
Damn, Ennis's Punisher is definitely way better than Black & White
>>81844908
The Edmonson run, and ESPECIALLY the fagtion and ostrander(/late-90s-in-general) runs are the ones you really wanna avoid.
Most of his other comics have at least SOME merit, to varying degrees.

FUCK OFF EDGY UNDERAGE CUNT
Posting the best Punisher page ever made
>>81846985
I always loved the one about the multiheaded beast with heads named Grumman, Lockheed-Martin and so on. It gives me a huge edgy grimdark boner and I don't care who knows it.
>>81846588
WTF is wrong with you?
You sound like a tumblrfag who probably reads Marvel.
I really enjoyed this, and it's just a single TPB. A Joker story, with MAX levels of content, and only a cameo by the Batman. The POV character is an average thug.
>>81846588
Who says he is edgy or underage? I'm pretty conservative, and in my late twenties, and I enjoyed MAX and entries like it. I even liked Aarons MAX, to be Frank.
I enjoy violence, books and ass, and a gritty tone to my stories. They have been a staple of storytelling since Beowulf, and stayed popular for a reason. I find Spider-Man and the more PG-13 rated comics tend to feel juvenile in a way that pulls me out of the story. Give me Alias or Punisher over Spidey or Teen Titans anytime.

This was pretty good, thus why I recommended it. I find that even Batman, for all his dark themes, can lean a bit too close to sterile-kid-friendly in many of his runs.
>>81850987
Yeah, those are some gross and over-detailed rotten teeth. Gotta agree there.
>>81851036
Trust me, that's not what the gif was for.
