He's a detective who clearly is open to the possibility of the supernatural now that he's been relying on a psychic for two years. He's also had evidence of mysterious brain eating. Now he's presented with an explanation that is totally in line with the world he's believes in and he has to say "HOL UP". It was cliche, would have been way better for Clive to have come to the zombie conclusion himself or have accepted Liv's confession much easier.
Also I can't buy that a psychic is much more plausible than a zombie, especially for Clive who never seemed like he bought into religious mysticism. If you believe a women every time she says she's seen the deceased's memories why not believe her when she says its because she ate their brains?

They never even showed her as the villain. Her company is in charge now but she is probably at best the muscle/an obstacle while the company is run by the real villain. And even then it might just be a "just stay out of each other's way" relationship for now, s3 isn't even close to starting so there is no telling who the bad guy is yet. But guessing from >>81823254 you probably won't be pleased either way.
