on one hand, Kate Kane is a cool character, on the other hand, I kinda resent her being team leader with batman cause well... she has done so very little for the "Bat Family" that its pathetic. She's like "hur dur I'll dress up as a Batwoman." But it doesn't make u part of the bat family.
Although, I guess there could be an interesting dynamic sine I don't see the two of them getting along so well, given they can both be rough people. And I guess one really interesting thing about the two of them is that they are 1st cousins, so I wonder if that will be addressed.
I'm not against Kate being integrated into the Batfamily, but starting off as co-leader with Batman just seems a bit off.

Batwoman's history is largely unchanged.
After her stint in Detective Comics ended suddenly when Rucka left DC, they made plans to launch her ongoing without his involvement.
They released a #0 and said the series proper would launch early 2011.
It kept getting delayed to coincide with what turned out to be the New 52 reboot.
But since the first arc was basically done already and directly followed Rucka's run, Kate's backstory was basically the exact same.
The repeal of DADT mean's they'll have to tweak it pretty soon, though.
