Tetra and her crew, now containing link, sail the seas falling into shenanigans with monsters, untamed Islands, and maybe even a rival crew. Link is actually a minor character and his design is altered to look more pirate-esque, most importantly swapping the hat for a bandana. He tries to contribute to conversation/plans like anyone else but I'm just gonna steal >>81732444's idea on what happens when he talks. Link would essentially be the action man for our main party.

Play the cutscenes from all the 3-D games in order of release.
Original story based on all the lore and such but being it's own thing. Link pretty much just emotes and everyone pretends he says stuff. In key moments there's dialogue boxes, like when he's in danger, then the right answer lights up
Divided in 3 seasons.
1st season - Child Link and Tetra (who is not Zelda in this incarnation but her little sister) go on an adventure through Hyrule to save Zelda from a minor bad guy.
2nd season - Teen Link has to search for the Oracles since they have to break a seal some shit. The oracles are the ones who replace Tetra in character interaction so we don't spend silent episodes with only Link. This arc is foreshadowing for the actual bad guy.
3rd season - Oh no, Ganondorf was behind it all along, who would have thought! Link and Sheik (again, not Zelda) have to get the master sword and do shit to stop Ganondorf, who again, kidnapped Zelda.
They go through dungeons and towns and shit.
I wanted to make this a fancomic for the longest time but I have been busy with other shit.

I'm thinking the bad guy / guys are the protagonists who scheme all throughout the episodes and get their traps, dungeons and plots ruined every time at the last minute by the Hero. Except one episode where they are so well designed that the hero couldn't beat them if he'd show up, but he doesn't - he is instead mowing down grass. The protag. is too wary of Link messing up his plans so he nervously and obsessively watches over the traps, whilst missing key moments of action, like a coronation or a hundred year ritual.
Action/Adventure with mostly slapstick comedy. Link's interactions are kept to grunts and gestures, and other characters can talk to advance the plot of each episode and overarching story. Some episodes should be completely silent, especially action-heavy ones, in the style of Samurai Jack.
If the series is more comedy-driven, make the style in the fashion of Wind Waker. If it's more serious/action-oriented, try to replicate the style used in the official art of OOT/MM, or maybe even the earlier Zeldas if the budget would allow it.
I would fight for Link to be given a line in a dream sequence, however. Just one. In it, he'd be facing away from the person dreaming, and upon being prompted would turn around and sayWell excuuuuse me, princess!

I jest. /co/ gets a rap from the other boards as being tumblr-lite so I thought to include elements of that into a /co/-esque Zelda.
In reality, if we were to get a Zelda cartoon/anime, I would rather that it be animated by a Japanese studio and preferentially have an original storyline that incorporates the elements of Zelda without adhering too closely to any of the stories told in the games already.I wouldn't mind Zelda actually kicking ass and taking names, though. Set hyrule as a vast metropolitanesque kingdom secretly caught in a behind the scenes civil war between Ganondorf and Zelda. Link stumbles into the whole thing unaware and gets caught up in both sides.
The plot revolves aroundthe fact that Zelda and Ganon remember every recurrence they've had and need Link (who doesn't initially remember) to break their stalemate. The setting includes most minor and major characters from the games as integrated into Zelda's kingdom or siding with Ganondorf. Prominent villains such as Zant, Vaati, or Majora are rogue elements trying to keep the stalemate as the victor would end them. The triforce holders are also at the same time manipulated by the Goddeses through characters such as the Happy Mask Salesman, Valoo the dragon, Jabun, and the light spirits.
Each season will revolve around Link having to get macguffins from the series dungeons while being played by all sides, as well as meeting and befriending classic Zelda characters and having to fend off threats from all sides with a new companion each season (such as Navi, Tatl, Midna, etc).
The driving force behind the show is the eternal recurrence behind the Zelda series, and if it's such a good thing.
Just have this with Lana/Cia shoving Link out of the way constantly preventing him from talking while they arguing over his dick, then you can have Ganondorf show up summon a boss/monster of the week and then Link deals with it like he usually does with grunts and patterns.

To expand on this, the silent rule is mostly adhered to as Link starts out as a blank slate. He is not mute, but doesn't utter a word unless it is a sufficiently dramatic moment. For casual interactions, his companion does the talking (based on the character, this can be comedic as they misinterpret what Link wants or agrees to something dangerous). Whenever he does speak, the show cuts to another character or mutes itself. This happens every time until Link gains his memories and the audience hears his voice for the first time to heighten the effect. Link evolves into his own kind of person as the series progresses but still serves as a lighter reflection of either Zelda whose become completely isolated from the rest of Hyrule because of her knowledge and Ganondorf who wants to atone for his past sins but can't help but regress into his old ways when pressed.
The show will run pretty close tot he gameplay in that Link starts out mostly under equipped and unskilled but picks up things as he goes along, eventually rivaling Ganondorf and Zelda without his triforce.
The setting as a castle/city kingdom may seem odd but it's so that it incorporates elements from every game in the series: the canals and lakes can be sailed like the great sea, some buildings are so tall they enter skyloft, there are entrances to alternate dimensions like the twilight realm or Lorule or termina, death mountain and Zora's domain border the city as landmarks, there are temples in hidden places everywhere as well.
Kinda overdid it but yeah, that's how I'd do it.

I would make him encounter Ganon/Ganondorf many times briefly across the series, maybe fighting him in shorts bursts by the end but never doing the final fight.
Leave it without and ending, make it feel like those 80s show that they just fucking stopped by the end. Like Dragon quest. That way the journey never ends.

Link, Zelda, and Gan and children in the city of Clockenburgh, the City of Time. The three are friends, even though they come from very different backgrounds. Link’s father is a factory worker and his mother is a seamstress. Zelda’s father own the factory and her mother is a fashion designer. Gan’s mother is in the town guard, and she never speaks of his father.
At _______’s Schoolhouse, the three attend classes with a wide menagerie of past characters from other bits of the series. Each of them seem to come from such varied backgrounds that it seems almost uncanny that so many different kinds of people all live in Clockenburgh.
One day Mr. _______ goes missing, and school is indefinitely cancelled. Most of the kids rejoice and return to their homes, which is also strange because the automated clockwork trams are ready and waiting outside; as if this was somehow planned. The children sans Link, Zelda, and Gan pile onto their buses and go home.
“Do you guys have a bad feeling about all this too?” Zelda asks, chewing on a pencil idly.
“Yeah, old man ______ has never missed a day like this before.” Gan says back, Link behind him nodding in agreement. He points up at the street sign.
“That's right, Mr. ______ lives just down the street. We should go investigate!” Zelda says excitedly grabbing her two friends by the arm, always eager for something interesting to happen. Gan and Link share a knowing look behind her back as she drags them down the sidewalk.

The first episode features Link almost talking a few times (just the start of a word, etc.). Shows a look at the peaceful Hyrule before Ganon attacks (because fuck Ganondorf)
He curses Link's really big and thick scarf to suffocate him to death, but mystic intervention dampens the curse and Link's voice is now continuously muffled by the scarf. He gets a fair companion (a bookish fairy) to talk for him and the series goes from there

At the door, Zelda hesitates as she is unnerved by the decorations on Kaeporea Gaborea’s home. The entire front face of the building is choked with thick vines, and there seem to be numerous eyes staring down at the trio from behind the dense foliage.
“Go on and knock.” Zelda says after a swallow, shoving Gan forward and taking a step behind link herself.
“ What? Why me? This was your… fine.” Gan said, unable to argue with Zelda’s puppy dog eyed gaze.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Gan bravely approaches the door and grabs hold of the heavy brass knocker. As he moves to knock, the door swings open, and the interior is totally dark. The three peer inside curiosly, and as they lean on the door, it moves further open and they fall forward into the room. As they squabble briefly as to whose fault the fall was, they collectively notice the state of the room.
The curtains are pulled, but there are several slashes on them. The furniture has been tossed about the room, stacks of paper have been scattered all over the floor. The only thing in the room that is upright and intact is a small end table with a device on it.
“What do you think happened?” Zelda wondered aloud, wandering the scene nervously. She reaches for the device cautiously and presses the only lit button. With whirr of gears, the device spins to life.
“...kzzzt….I’ve finallly found it. The reason this whole town seems to be simultaneously deserted and overcrowded. Artificial even. It’s all been orchestrated by ….. kzzt…..” the recording on the device plays. After a moment of static, more comes.
“I have to warn the…. Who are you? No! Get yours hands off me!” the recording ends with the sounds of a struggle and then silence.
